I have multiple size knitting needles and crochet hooks, especially size K, since it seems to disappear the most!  So, no, my WIPS do not get done any faster! Cheesy  I think I have more crochet WIPS because I prefer crochet for large projects like afghans...my oldest being about 25 years old... Grin (I am reworking an afghan that my mother started and never finished...I hope to get it done before her 85th birthday!)...

mini_mum--I like using circulars the most because you can unhook the points and leave the project on the cords...I bought lots of extra cords Grin  We are horrid, aren't, we? Grin

I learned to crochet from fantasticmio and am so glad I did!  To be able to do both really keeps me from being bored with yarn...

I think knitting is way easier than crochet, but that is because I learned it first as a child...I like things about both (kinda hard to drop a stitch when you crochet!)...I can't wait to see who I get as a partner!  I just hope that my knitting needles are not being used for current wips!  ha ha At least with crochet, you can use the needle for more than one project at a time! Grin
13559  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: WIP Wednesday - June 27 thru Aug 15 on: October 11, 2012 05:57:08 AM
Almost finished with my bobble shawl!  Lots of seed stitch in that one (It is from the book "Noro Knitting")...I am doing it first in some stash yarn before committing to Noro yarn...I love it so it will be one of my winter WIPS!

Any knitters want to swap for crochet?  I also joined this swap as I want some crochet baby hats (the kind with ears and all):

13560  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Mystery Quilt for Sick Child on: October 11, 2012 05:49:47 AM
I definitely think there will be more cuts later based on the fabric yardage...maybe borders, maybe sashing...

My fabrics are here!!  I will be cutting either tonight or tomorrow!

Asatmor--lovely fabrics!  I think there are a few other people that are using blues...
