1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Return of the Secret Santa Wishlist Swap! on: Today at 07:42:12 PM
I came home to a surprise today!!!  I was so thrilled because everything was fun and happy after a not so happy day today...good news...one of my bathrooms is done and ready for company on Thanksgiving!!!

I will take pics tomorrow...I have not even unwrapped a few because I wanted to show pictures first...and, uh, I am going to try my best to guess who sent me this package!!!  I think I know and maybe you can guess with me when you see the artwork!!

Love calluna and her rebel ways....lol
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: 2017 QuiltAlong on: Today at 12:10:55 PM
The little details, like the pockets and ribbing, really make this special!  What are the sweaters made from? Can you mix and match acrylic with wools?  Does the wool "felt" when washed?  I have a lot of sweaters that were going to dump, but I can probably rescue the unworn parts... I would love a very heavy blanket like this!

I am working on both of my claims sort of at the same time...trying to get them done this week so I can do a couple more...I keep seeing things I want to make...we should hit the deadline and then continue the swap "illegally"...just keep on swapping until the PO stops delivering for the holidays!! lol....I am making a list of "how fast can I make that"...I am telling you, stress is my crafting mojo!!!
4  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: 2017 QuiltAlong on: Today at 07:11:00 AM
I find places to donate some of my quilts...Quilts for Kids and Wounded Warriors are my two biggest. I do like to make random quilts and stack them in a basket by my fireplace.  When friends come over, they can snuggle with one...and if they seem extremely fond of one, I let them take it.  I love the process of making a quilt but really have no attachment once they are done.

They turned out lovely!  What nice gifts as well!  I love that you used up those bits of batting....I have also used regular batting for pot holders and pads to sit my hot casseroles on...but I don't have any holiday ones...

I love your sweater quilts!  You are indeed brave to take them on as they are stretchy and heavy!

I especially love them because you use up what you have...so many people simply toss things away these days. I bet you also remember each sweater as you gave it new life in your blanket!

Love job with the hand stitching...thanks for a mini tutorial on it...
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: HAPPY MAIL #3 - BRING the HAPPY GALLERY on: November 18, 2017 03:59:17 PM
oh no...I totally spaced and thought I already took and posted pictures of what you sent kbrison!!!  So sorry...the construction before the holidays has made me space space space!!!  Hopefully, tomorrow we will have some sunshine for me to take pictures!!!

This swap is not over until I get my pics posted!!!!

oh, onyxnox--you are too sweet...but no, I am such a novice when it comes to altered art, paper, notecards, etc. I dabble and things turn out "alright", but not compared to what I have seen...I even set up a journal to do learn one technique at a time and have watched dozens of videos...I am more of a fiber/fabric person at heart...but thanks...

(I still have my cricut that I got for Christmas three years ago...it is still in the box...I was going to return it but never did...guilty, like CLM)...

I had no idea how common this was!  I am being fitted with a special guard that I have to wear to sleep...I declined tranquilizing drugs but I will be eligible for medical pot...Grin...our state just passed the law on that. For now, a glass of wine and some knitting will have to do...and I have lots of knitting items to pick in this swap!!!  Tough to keep it at three!!!
