3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / mesh bag pattern help on: December 26, 2007 08:50:42 PM
I have attempted this once and it just doesn't look right, so I am asking for help !

Rnd 1: Ch3, 1dc into ring, join with sl st to top of 3ch
Rnd 2: Ch4, 1dc into next st, *ch 1, 1dc into next st, rep from * to end, join with sl st to 3rd ch of the 4ch.
Rnd 3: Sl st into next ch from hook, ch5, 1 dc into next ch sp, * ch2, 1dc into next ch sp, rep from * to end, ch 2 join with a sl st to 3rd ch of the 5ch

So Rnd 1 is easy enough, but in Rnd 2.. when it says CH4, 1dc into next stitch.. does this mean the stitch directly next to it or do I skip one?

Unfortunately it also does not tell me how many stitches I am suppose to end up with until the bag is completed (210 stitches in Rnd23).  Anyways... for my first attempt.. I kept stitching in the very next stitch, but by the time I get to Rnd 5, I have almost double the amount of stitches then what I am suppose to end up with in Rnd 23 and I am not even halfway there so this must be a mistake.

thanks in advance!

i'm not sure if i can post the pattern, so i have removed it.

my friend gave me a bunch of wicks and soy candle wax for christmas.  she also gave me some french vanilla fragrance that she purchased for her candles, but can somebody tell me if there is a way to fragrance them without having to buy the oils from a store / online?  i was wondering if there are any natural methods that I can use.  lemon or coffee maybe?

8  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Jolly Roger Sweater Question on: January 03, 2007 10:47:12 AM
Quick question...

In rows 57-62 on page 200, what does all the other numbers in parantheses mean? For example (55-62, 55-62, 55-63, 55-64)?

The way I am reading it is that I have to crochet rows 57-62 with 57 (57 is the size that I need for my husband) chains across.

Help.  Thanks!
9  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Craft Fair Table Pricing - Help on: December 14, 2006 10:29:07 PM
Hi - I have decided to venture out on a limb and start my own summer craft fair for 2007 in Vancouver to fill the void of urban and modern fairs.  I have 8ft tables available and people can either have a full table or share with 4ft each.  I want to take a poll and see what people consider to be a reasonable price.  The fair will be over two days (Sat/Sun) sometime in May.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

10  CANADA / British Columbia / Seam Rippers ?? on: December 05, 2006 07:18:00 PM
Hi - I keep reading about Seam Rippers on this site, but I can't seem to find them on the web.  Do you know if they had a craft fair this year?  I keep checking www.seamrippers.ca, but I don't think its the same site that everybody is talking about.  Help!
