1  Re: Show Off Your Hair! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by xo_duckie_xo on: January 15, 2009 04:34:54 PM
Do you roll your hair with rollers of some sort, or is your hair just naturally gorgeous like that?
Your bangs are very nice on you, no need to worry. I'm very envious of you hair ^_^

Oh yeah, and my hair is black now guys. startled my parents with it, but they got over it xD

excuse my shirt being low, but this is really only one of the pictures I have of the color.
Not too different, but I like it more.

I totally just posted pictures, but I'm so stoked about my new favorite thing to do with my hair Cheesy
Rag curling=best thing ever!

The first two are the first day, the third is the second day.
They stay super well, and I'm completely in love with the curls it creates.

3  Replacing buttons. in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by xo_duckie_xo on: December 01, 2008 01:03:25 PM
My aunt is about the same size as me, so naturally we have clothes swaps with each other all the time. She recently gave me a long sleeved cardigan-type halfshirt she bought from american eagle.
Its powder-blue, a pretty color. Only thing I dislike about it is the completely off putting swirl brown colored buttons on it. They also have the words 'american eagle outfitters' around them. I don't need even more reason to be a walking billboard for them.
I'm wanting to replace them, but I have no idea what kind/color/size to use.
I don't want it to be boring, exactly. But there isn't much you can do with just buttons.
If you have an ideas/comments I'd like to hear them.

the pictures are sort of bad, I used my webcam and my dress form xD

I got bored and antsy and decided I needed a haircut about four days ago, so I went into the bathroom with a bucket and scissors and cut off a lot of hair.
not a lot of length, more volume.

I cut my bangs back, which makes me happy. I'm wanting to grow out everything but my bangs to a rather long length.

I want to dye it, and have permission to do so (just not anything like pink or blue)
Any opinions as to what I should do? Tongue

Aha. I figured I'd join, and show pictures of my length- changing hair.
It grows fast..and then one night I'll decide that I'm not happy with it and chop it all off xD
drives my mom insane.
8 months from now, I'm going to be dreading my hair, which i'm overly excited for.
because I've got frizzy fluffy hair that takes me an hour and a half each day to straighten down.
which is no fun.

1: Its usual length. Dyed color.
2: Same color, just a lot shorter in back
3: A ton longer, past my shoulders. Dyed darker.
4:Most recent. Color is coming out of my hair, and I cut it shorter.
5: Short black hair. >.<
6: Long black/brown hair xDDD
8: Medium length, short gross bangs.

I'm stoked for dreads.
Even though everyone thinks they are dirty and such at my school, its the first drastic change my parents are
allowing for me to make with my hair.
For people who have/had dreads..
is it a bad idea to dye your dreads?
and is there anything you should/shouldn't do to make them healthier?

7  UMD hoodie [img fluffy] in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by xo_duckie_xo on: November 23, 2007 07:12:16 PM
Hey lovelies
I hope you all had a great thanksgiving and all.
Black friday was a bear today.
but I survived.

Wednesday, I was out of school, and decided that since I'm just starting this whole sewing thing, I might as well work on something for the day.
but I'm too lazy to walk to walmart (yuck) anyways, so I had to use something that I already had.

I found this really...grotti hoodie in the back of my closet.
Its an odd color of yellow, not very bright.
Its one of those ones from a college, the university of Duluth, Minnesota.

You know those hoodies that reletives get you, and everything on it doesn't fit at all?
The hood was really tight on me, the entire torso area was 34086208 times too big for me, and the sleeves were never-ending.
It made me depressed xD

But anyways,
I cut the entire neck off, to get that whole...dance feel to it.
I made the sleeves half length, and puffy =]
and, I also took in the sides times a ton.
Its still baggy in the stomach area, but that works because I'm a rather self conscious person, and I like things being comfortable.
so yeah,

the neckline...or lack there of.

zomg puffy sleeeves o.O

zomg myspace shot!? xD

8  Re: Simple winter scarf [image pudgy] [tut. added] in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by xo_duckie_xo on: November 11, 2007 04:54:49 PM
Hmm, alright loves.
I finished it =D

First off, to make the squares you use, I used the measurements that were best suited for my size (not to sound rude, but we're all different =] )

My squares are 6x6 and 5 1/2 batting.
all material used is flannel.

please excuse thee fishnets, I tend to dress a bit loopy when tired.

9  Simple winter scarf [image pudgy] TUT. ADDED! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by xo_duckie_xo on: November 04, 2007 01:14:36 PM
Hello loves,
its very early, and I'm tired...
please excuse my ghostly look in my pictures, as I said, I'm overly tired.
But anyways.
I had some fabric, and time, so I decided to make a scarf =]

Bug eyes, but a shot of what the two fabrics look like.
If its not very apparent, its a purple plaid, and white.

the length of it.
its folded in half, and i had to strech my webcam very high up to see all of it xD
I'm 5'2 and it reaches right above me knees when draped over my shoulders.

the detail of it

on myself =]

more detail xD

if you want, I could post a tutorial.
even though its rather basic, and not hard.

made another one.
I took pictures for the tut. ,
but I have to compile them together.
until then, here's a picture of the new one.

10  Four years of comics and patience.... in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by xo_duckie_xo on: August 20, 2007 09:01:40 PM
...pays off!
Picture this.
Two fourteen year old girls sit in a room together for three days, watching television and eating takeout.
And we're bored, obviously.
So we decide to decorate my ugly no-paint walls.
Because, you can't paint your walls if you rent.

smaller picture, better quality.

Whatcha thinkkk?
