Here is my WWVD? shirt because I love her desperately.

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Simply Marilyn on: June 21, 2007 08:29:04 PM
Here she is! I used a bulky alpaca and cast on way less stitches than the pattern called for to make it less bulky. Please ignore weird bunching of camisole underneath!

A fast, lovely knit and I learned to cable without a needle! Oh, and I added quite a bit of length to the body as well...
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Cashmerino Super Chunky review? on: May 30, 2007 09:47:41 AM
Am considering buying this for Simply Marilyn but have read a couple of not-so-glowing reviews (ie that it pills terribly and looks dirty) and a couple of great ones. Not so sure what to do! Alternately, anyone know of good subs? thank you!

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ribbing tension -- help! on: May 15, 2007 07:23:25 AM
I have always hated my ribbing, but last night I stopped pulling the yarn tightly when I brought it forward (usually I pull it reaaaaaaalllly tight, hoping that will fix the problem) and it is beautiful! So simple.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: need ideas for baby shower--1 month on: April 24, 2007 06:50:52 AM
I figure it makes more sense to make them something that they won't outgrow, so I usually make a lovely soft bunny or blanket.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: looking for a fitted fair-isle cardigan pattern on: April 17, 2007 06:30:49 PM
Thanks for the advice - that Penny Straker one is gorgeous!

I just finished the Venezia and fell so in love that I am itching to do another big-scale project - and am obsessed with stranded knits.
