11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Should I keep knitting this? on: May 26, 2007 12:01:21 AM
go for it.  Its one of those quintessential fashion designs that are timeless.  that particular style has been around since before the 1940s.  my grandma says that its the most comfortable easiest style of sweater to wear.  if it doesn't fit you you could always gift it to some extremely lucky family member at christmas.  what issue of IK was it from?

15  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / 4 skeins blue sky alpaca's royal in pewter, advice/help/ideas? on: May 17, 2007 07:08:04 PM
i recently purchased 4 skeins of blue sky alpaca's royal in a beautiful understated grey.  What to make?  I was hopeing to make a shawlish type thing.  thinking the swallowtail shawl from interweave? anyone who worked with this yarn before have any pattern pointers?  Its so beautiful i dont want to waste it on something that i wont use or wear.  I was also thinking of the motorcycle gloves in the new ik summer issue? any thoughts or pointers would be awsome! thanks in advance! Wink

wow.  you have such restraint.  Its so beautiful, i would be SO mad about the yarn.  i would send them a curt email with a link to your blog so they can see how the yarn has really affected your work. again, the design is totally beautiful.  I've purchased the one skein wonder pattern, any chance you'd be willing to share your alterations?
