Vintage furniture is so sturdy--perfect for refinishing! I'm looking for piece like this for my bedroom! Great job! Great inspiration!
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Have you turned that beautiful, avocado-green, vintage blender into a lamp yet? on: January 20, 2011 08:31:07 AM
My parents received this same blender as a wedding gift back in 1980!  I would turn it into a lamp....but they still use it. haha

I love these! Great Job! I wear sweaters to work in the winter but they only ever last 3 or 4 months before they're stretched out or shrunk up or just not wearable anymore. I always hate throwing them away. This is  a great alternative! I might have to seek out some stools on my next round of thrift store shopping!

I'm excited for this swap. Crafting and WoW are my two favorite things Cheesy

Love your new space! Your before pictures look a lot like my current basement situation.  Did you put ceramic floor down over the old linoleum? I'm looking for a basement floor solution and when I saw your post I really liked your new floors!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: NICU Smocks and FREE PATTERN/TUTORIAL! on: September 28, 2010 01:14:34 PM
Wow, this is great! I wish I would have had this pattern when my niece was born! She didn't get to wear clothes until she was 2 months old because everything was too big! Something like this would have been perfect! She was born at 26 weeks and weighed 2 1/2 lbs. She is now a rough and tumble 2 year old out weighing her older sister. Tongue
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: Online "Window" Shopping...? on: September 13, 2010 08:15:35 PM
Wow! I am in the same situation! I want to decorate like mad but what money I do have to put into the house has to go to more important things like repairing the dryer, rewiring the outdated electrical and installing new, functioning fixtures in the bath and kitchen (I bought a stripped foreclosure). So like you, I satisfy my need to decorate with browsing the web for neat ideas. Smiley  I use all the same sites you do plus browse flicker &craftster for ideas and I also like countrydoor.com.  It's mostly country/homey/mom-ish but they have some cute items that would work for any style home too.  diyideas.com is another fun site, along with its parent site Better Homes & Gardens (bhg.com). The diyideas site is a companion to a magazine which I absolutely love with the same title. If you like magazines you should check out 100 decorating ideas under 100 which comes out every two months or so and there's another one by better homes called fleamarket finds or something!  All great inspiration!  Good luck with your new home! Smiley

9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Disposable Camera Rd 7 - Click Here For Photo-ey Goodness! on: May 27, 2010 07:59:28 AM
I received from MandyP last week and finally have a break from life to post the pictures!  All of her shots were great and it was so hard to choose which ones to post!

First off... the awesome frame she made!  It is so cute!

Everything all together! I got some biscuit mix, some trail mix, and a cute little scrap/photo book!

Although I am not a member of the church I thought this photo of the LDS temple was beautiful so I had to share!

An actual working Grist Mill. (Where the biscuit mix came from!)

I love this sculpture, named "On the Fence"

MandyP's town is full of beautiful parks and great photo ops! I am super jealous!  Thanks Mandy for all the great pics and great treats!  Your package was wonderful!

O Man....nothing like a great package from an amazing partner to make me feel like a total JERK for sendng soooo late!!!!  I just got my package from silverlining today and the pictures are AMAZING!!!  I feel like such an unworthy match!!!   Undecided But at least having not sent mine yet I could add extras to make mine at least slightly comparable.

Thanks so much....pictures to post shortly!!  And, I am sending your package Monday....sorry...life got the best of me this month!!!   Smiley

Don't sweat it Mandy. Looking forward to seeing your photos and I'm glad you liked mine! I was worried because we had almost a week straight of rain and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to go out and shoot anything before the send out!  Fortunately the rain let up for awhile and Monday, just enough time to finish the last photos!
