1  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Sweaters for our Puppies?! on: July 20, 2009 10:53:12 AM
If there's no deadline to when we have to be finished, I'm in!   Smiley

I have 5 little Bostons who would just love some new sweaters.

Your little Bogart is a DOLL!  So cute, and I love his new outfit!

Such a cool idea, and I love those colors and prints.   Smiley

How big did you make them?
3  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Do Something New KAL! on: July 26, 2007 11:43:52 AM
Good luck with the baby!   Smiley

You are still welcome to join, if you'd like.  Even if you only do one new thing in the whole six months that the KAL is running, you would still be eligible for the big prize.  And you'd always be welcome to post.

Thanks so much for the well wishes!!

Signups are just starting for the Do Something New Knit-A-Long.  If you have something new in the knitting world that you are wanting to try - like learning to do cables, making your first pair of socks, dying your own yarn, etc. - then this is for you!

Here is the URL:

It will run from August 1st 2007 to January 31st 2008.  You can participate as much or as little as you'd like . . . and there will be prizes!  Everyone is invited to join, so check it out!  It should be fun!
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Shared pattern/pattern links on: June 06, 2007 08:41:27 PM
I am looking for a really cool dragon pattern to hand embroider on the back of my son's karate outfit.  Web searches haven't help me find a thing, so I thought I'd ask here.  Anyplace online selling medium-sized dragon patterns for hand embroidering?

Thanks in advance.
6  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Fair Isle Cardigan... with colour change!... and pockets! on: October 04, 2006 06:08:13 PM
Great job on that Cardigan!   It looks so cool! . . . Well, actually it looks warm and toasty, but you know what I mean!  Great color choice!

I think the pockets were a great idea and a really nice touch.
7  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: Granny's No Square Handbag on: October 03, 2006 07:58:32 PM
I finished hooking my Granny bag last night!  I have a picture of it on my blog:

I also could NOT find rivets anywhere, so I used flat buttons, the kind with shanks on the back.  I lined mine with some brown check fabric I had, so the buttons helped to anchor it in place.

Do y'all think it looks okay?  I used a totally different color scheme.  I'm always kinda skeptical of the things I make until they've laid around for a while.

Anyway...Here's to happy hookin'!!  LOL

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: cigarette STENCH on my bags..HELPPP!! on: March 16, 2006 03:25:57 PM
You could try lightly misting the bags with a solution of half vinegar and half water.  Vinegar is a natural deodorizer, and the 'salady' smell goes away very quickly, and should take the smoke smell with it.

Good Luck!
