22  Red/Black/White My Heart is in 610 Supayana Inspired in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by kristen219 on: April 10, 2006 09:16:24 PM
so i bought this white tee, cut up and old black one for the band at the bottom, and used the back of one of my moms stretchy ill-fitting red shirts for the pockets.

i wanted the hearts and writing to look really sketchy....but i think it just looks like i cant write.

24  long checkbook cover/wallet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by kristen219 on: April 05, 2006 11:26:17 AM
i made this wallet to go with the pleated tote i made here https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=88076.0

its a little big, and not so sturdy, but it holds my stuff, and is better then the tiny little crappy one i had before. so for my first wallet, im pretty happy  Smiley

closed.  the magnetic snap broke, so i had to rip some incredibly, sore-to-the-eyes black velcro from an old purse to close it.

the whole thing

close up of card slots

"money shot" haha. im a loser.

checkbook/planner slot

all critcism welcome!

25  My Pleated Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by kristen219 on: April 03, 2006 03:50:08 PM
i used this tutorial https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=49030.0 and put a little spin on it to make it smaller. i really really like how it turned out. im also in the process of making a wallet/checkbook cover to match! lemme know what u think!

i think i made the band around the top a little too big.

28  helloooo irish kitty [img heavy] in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by kristen219 on: February 26, 2006 10:22:21 PM
ok story time. im sorry im going to brag b/c im sickingly in love and i miss him.

my boyfriend comes from a 1/2 irish (his moms maiden name is murphy for crying out loud) 1/2 native american family. I am also 1/2 irish and 1/2 german. my mom was out romping around and came across those annoyingly popular "everyone loves and irish girl" tees. so she bought one for me and a matching one for his mom. sooo i thought.. build-a-bear!

now, my boyfriend is at school hours away, so as a going away present, he took me to build-a-bear. [que brag] i have this strange phobia of gollum from lord of the rings. nate (boyfriend) does the most amazing impression of him. which  means hes also good at doing the innocent smeegel voice. in the hand of the bear, theres a recording of nate sing "i love kristen cuz shes so sweet! dodododododooooo" awww. just like the scene in the movie. only -kristen+fish.

ANYWHOOO ever since i've had this bear, my maternal instincts have been off the charts. so, i whipped up some little lovelys for him/her. meet KRATE (kristen-isten+nate-n=KRATE)

the green isnt sewn on yet..

hello kitty hoodie from scratch

slippers from build-a-bear

the not so irish looking couple

p.s. is it totally dorky that i made my bed b4 i took these so u ladies wouldn't think im messy?
