11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Bike Basket Bag on: March 16, 2010 06:37:40 PM
What a neat idea!  I love the look.  I have the same basket on my bike and would like to try to do the same.  Any tips?

I would also like to know what kind of chocolate chips?  Semi-sweet or milk?

Can't wait to try this!  Thank you for posting!!!
13  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Pizzelles on: December 06, 2009 09:07:55 PM
OMG thank you for posting this!  I LOVE pizzelles!

littlebiskit:  I think the contraption you are talking about is the same thing I have here at my house.  My dad knew I loved pizzelles and saw, what he assumed to be a pizzelle maker, at a yard sale.  It has the same snowflake design on two round flat metal discs that are hinged with a long metal handle.  I have never tried to make pizzelles on it either because I had no idea what to do with it!  Place it on the stove?  For how long, how much heat?  If you try yours please post Smiley  Thanks!

This is the color scheme of my craft space too!  I love what you've done with those pegboards.  Great work, I know you will make some awesome things in this space!

Great quilt!  Love the pattern and the backing fabric.  I am sure your brother loved it!

How amazing!  I really love Fiestaware too!  I couldn't imagine busting up those beautiful plates.  Shocked  But they were seconds so that had to make it easier.

A friend of mine did a really neat thing with her Fiesta platters and pitchers.  She hung them on the wall and it really looks great! Just another Fiesta decorating idea for you!  Grin
17  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Follow the Yellow Brick Road *Complete* on: July 09, 2009 03:31:07 PM
Thanks for the compliments everyone!  I just posted pictures of the completed project.  I really love how it turned out.  Now I have to wait until Aug. 4th for my mom's bday to give it to her!

Mozilla:  I tend to name my quilts after songs... I have made one called "Strawberry Fields Forever", and the T-shirt Quilt I made my friend we call "Raise Up" (its an old rap song about North Carolina, and she went to UNC).  The next one I am starting is going to be "Freeze Frame"  Cheesy

Great quilt!  I love the idea of using your walking foot for wavy lines.  I too am nervous about free motion machine quilting!  Eek!  I am am going to have to break bad and try it soon though.  I am curious to see the back of the quilt as well.

Crafty.Canadian:  That is the best way to do it, but the original start to the quilt was from a charm pack of yellows that were already cut into 4x4 squares.  If I was to do another coin quilt, I would do the same thing!

Thanks everyone!  I will post pics as soon as I finish quilting it!
