because corks are cylindrical, i'm going to carve out each letter on the flat surface. it'll make for a really unique alphabet

that is SOOO fabulous. that is the best craft i've ever seen!

note about using pizza place magnets: i've peeled off the sticker, so i've been left with the magnet and a bit of sticky residue. i placed stickers on top, but a few months later the reside seeped (sp?) through the stickers. be careful.

i'm in the process of collecting corks - i'm going to make alphabet stamps out of them. the fact that they are long and slender makes them great to hold for stamping.

does vancouver/the lower mainland have craft shows like this http://www.loosetooth.com/Art/Work/renegade2003.htm? ie i had no idea that craft shows existed that weren't solely targetted and put on by the traditional retired countryesque-style crafters.

cut a slice off two cd's, cut some paper to match, and bind along the slice. instant journal, keep labels on the inside, shiny on the outside

i bought a couple old hardcover books that i want to use the covers for and give new insides to for jounrals, and though i balk at the probable acidity of them, photo albums as well Smiley
