Aw man! You can tell I don't knit, can't you? I could have sworn that the needle roll would have been big enough to fit your needles in and have a little fold over top.

Oh well, at least you like the fabric! It's my favorite in my stash right now.

And as for the original sewing organizer, I'll see if I can get some pictures of it. A friend of mine stole it when I told her that I wouldn't be sending it. Apperantly, she didn't mind the hot chocolate stain left by clumsy ol' me!

I'm glad to know that you (and your boyfriend) liked the candy! They're some of my favourites, especially the Reese's Pieces. Have you had any of them before?

Wow Amifer, where did your mum live over here??

She was born in Tythby and lived all over Nottingham and Birmingham as a kid. Then she moved to London in her early adulthood right before moving here to Canada. And she's been here for... 21 or 22 years!

I'm dying to go visit and see the area!

I received from thefeltfairy and MariskaLovesCrafts (either Friday or this morning... I was away all weekend so I couldn't tell you for sure!)

They're both awesome postcards for very different reasons. The one that Mariska sent me is so cute and quirky (it's a piece of cheese! wait until you see it!) and it's adorable! The one that thefeltfairy sent me happened to be from an area of my England that my mum used to live near; she had spent quite a lot of time there in her youth. Seeing the postcard was so awesome for her and brought about a lot of stories! Thank you so much to both of you!

Thank you so much, Dulcinea! I can't wait... does having some amigurumi make me part of the cool crowd??  Wink

I'm in Canada and I do ask that you please don't send any leather, fur or gelatin (an ingredient in some candy) because I'm a strict vegetarian  Smiley

Here's my list, in no order what so ever:

 - I'm a photographer, so anything with a camera would = love. Maybe a tshirt, hoodie, keychain... ?? thanks ChloeisCrazy! I love it!

  - It's started to get rather cold here in Canada, and I never handle it well (very thin blooded, I'm afraid) so I would love mittens, scarves, toques, fingerless gloves, leg warmers, neck warmers, wooly socks... anything!   thanks domUNIQUE!! I can't wait

  - A lot of my friends have moved away for school, so I send a lot of letters and postcards. Any cards, postcards, or stationary sets would be cool.

  - Photography or Fine Arts magazines that aren't from North America... you can never have enough photo mags!

  - I'm going to Italy in December for a month of volunteer work, and I have a lot of things to do and plan before I go. What I would really like is a small journal/planner for all my prep work, and then a larger journal for while I'm there (to write in, glue pictures/tickets/etc). It would be even better if they were a matching set sort of thing.

  - I need a tiny wallet, just big enough to hold my ID and money when I go to concerts at my favourite bar.

  - Or I need a bar appropriate purse... a clutch or something?? A solid, neutral colour or pattern on the outside would work well, and then a fun cute fabric inside (that way, if the fun fabric doesn't match what I'm wearing, no one will know! )

  - I love all of the cute reversable fabric headbands and belts that I've seen on Craftster.

  - I want to jump on the amigurumi band-wagon, surprise me.

  - Simple totes with a screen-printed/stenciled/appliqued designs are great. My favourite tote is falling apart from over use, and the other had both a bottle of grape koolaid and a pen explode in it (on that same day!)

  - A cute bottle-opener (maybe take a plain one and jazz it up somehow ) I hate having to ask the boys to open my beer. It makes me feel so ... dainty and delicate. Yuck.

  - I would love, love, love to start doing lino prints but I don't know where to start! A kit would be fantastic!

  - I am such a music whore. I spend so much money on concerts and cds, and it's never enough (how gluttonous, eh?). Expose me to some new stuff -- I'd love cds of local bands from your area. And if you're from the UK, there are a few cds that I can't get my hands on here... if you were able to burn them for me, it would rock (I can pm you with the names)

  - Stickers, candy, toys, doo-dads specific to your area... mmm, candy! I could also take some of your paper stash off of you, if you like!

Is this enough for now?? If not, I have lots more to add... and links to examples as well. If you choose me before I can add some links, I'll pm you with them if you like.

Thanks so much to however chooses me! You are all so very talented, and I'd be grateful to receive anything that comes for your crafty little minds!

About me: I'm a 19 and I live in Canada. I come across as being really girly, but I'm a tomboy at heart. I love motorcycles and beer, but I certainly have my uber girl moments. Most of my close friends are guys, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

I work a lot, but I like to spend my spare time reading, watching a good film or two, and listening to music. There's a great concert scene in my city, so I'm always checking out shows. I listen to everything imaginable, but I can't get enough of the blues right now. Wednesday night is jam night, so that's where you'll find me (I'm a regular now!! The other regulars talk to me and everything! It's only taken about 3 months...  Undecided). I've just started learning blues harmonica, and I hope to be good enough to jam one day.

Incase you haven't noticed, I adore photography! I plan on starting my BA next year, assuming I get accepted. I currently have 10 cameras, but more are always welcome.

Good themes for me? Cameras (duh!), peacocks, orchids, music... ask if you need more inspiration!

Thanks to anyone who chooses me!

Hi Banga!

I've got you covered for those kiddie socks and some embroidery floss too (2 Euro is crazy!!) On second thought, I also see if I can dig up some jewlery findings to throw in there too.

This is my second claim, list in a minute.

I'm really really worried about my package.
I've had a package get lost before but never with something so precious in it!

I have to admit, I was starting to get a little worried too! But everything is alright lafemmefatale! It came yesterday, but I wasn't home until this morning (about 20 minutes ago!), so I just got it.

Grin Thank you so, so much! Grin

It's absolutely fantastic! And thank you so much for including the harmonica case, you really didn't have to!

I'm just about to run to work, but I'll post pictures as soon as I get home. Thanks again!

yeah, i'm not sure such a long "crafting" time is needed, either - like a week is more than enough time, IMO.

Ah, I'm so glad you guys said this. I wanted to, but I didn't want to be so bold. I leave for my trip Dec. 26th. And I'm sure that if send outs were sooner than previously discussed, I wouldn't have a problem. As knit_north said, if it inconvenienced others, I'd sit out. But if bumping it forward was a possibility I would deffinately be in!
10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! on: October 25, 2006 02:06:38 PM
No problem, missbentley! I learned so much from reading through this thread, so I'm happy to help out when I can too... isn't it great when people have a place to share their experiences and answer eachother's questions?!

The tattoo sounds lovely! Do the butterflies represent your two children? If it really means that much to you, you'll find the power to get through it, low pain tolerance or not! Good luck  Cheesy

mamamoonie: Where is your newest tattoo and how big is it? I really love it!
