1  pink-haired worry doll on a white elephant in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by claustrophilia on: August 30, 2009 10:49:01 AM

the doll is one inch, or three cm tall. poseable & can stand up alone. i made her from twisties and embroidery thread scraps.
the elephant was just made from left over felt & embroidery thread scraps, but it was just her size so i included him in the photoshoot.
thank you!

2  my first attempt at embroidery in Needlework: Completed Projects by claustrophilia on: August 26, 2009 08:46:45 AM
I never had the slightest interest in embroidery of any sort before (craftster), but looking at the varied & beautiful projects on craftster inspired me to attempt it! it's riddled with mistakes, mostly because I am a lefty and so the directions for stem stitch & outline stitch got me mixed up, heh.

The intials are my mum's; she loves anything I make so I decided to give it to her in spite of all the mistakes.

All the embroidering got me into a sewy mood so I made this:

thank you!

4  Four new ATCs and a question in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by claustrophilia on: February 27, 2007 07:53:39 AM
Here are my four latest ATCs:

From top left, clockwise, they are called
"Same Love Other Way"
"Four-Leaf Clover She Found Something More Than Good Luck"
"Dream Engine"

Here's a link so you can see them better:

Here is my question:

As you can see, the cards (due to the watery glue I used) aren't flat. They curve. Will ironing them flatten them? I tried gluing them to a thicker piece of (straight, flat) paper but because they were so...bendy... they came unglued. Do you have any tips?

5  Re: Camo Evening Gown in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by claustrophilia on: January 16, 2007 05:07:19 PM
Your dress reminds me of this
John Galliano for Christian Dior, Spring 2001.

It's so pretty (I mean your dress Cheesy) I also love that it's so fitting... I mean, I think it's cool that the camo you wear has a story behind it.

6  Spiders and hearts... painted slip-ons in Shoes: Completed Projects by claustrophilia on: January 05, 2007 08:05:00 AM
Actually, it's just one heart, but "spiders and heart" looks dumb.

My little brother asked me to paint him "emo" shoes Roll Eyes.

7  black and red cat charm... in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by claustrophilia on: November 12, 2006 07:09:17 PM
...from a bottlecap. I think it turned out quite cute considering how easy and simple it was. (I just painted a bottlecap and drew on the cat!)

8  Re: Ongoing ATC v2.0 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by claustrophilia on: November 12, 2006 07:06:12 PM
I received my witty vintage fashion ad atc from pjmclnj! I had given up on it, but I'm glad it got through the horrible meanie mail system! She had to make another one because her first one got lost in the mail for some reason Sad Anyway, thank you!

Good things come in twos; my brother returned the camera, finally, and now I can post pictures. So here is the poppies atc from pinkangel that I received quite a while ago but never go around to posting (sorry). The two quotes are "The angels run to see the poppies in the sun" from the poem "In the poppy field" (love!) and "In flanders fields the poppies blow" (from "In flanders fields") Thanks again pinkangel!
