1  Taco Salad-made from leftovers:) in Vegetarian / Vegan by missliz01 on: February 01, 2008 08:56:27 PM
Hey everyone, I know this isn't anything too exciting, but just wanted to share it because it was so darn tasty.  I made tacos for dinner a couple of weeks ago using the Morning Star Farms "beef crumbles".  I bought a taco dinner kit with the shells and seasoning and sauce to make it easy.  The next day, there was still plenty of filling left as well as fresh veggies and a couple of shells.  So I crushed up the shells, spread them out on a plate, topped with filling, organic cheese, veggies, a fresh avocado, black pepper, taco sauce and organic sour cream.  This is just kind of a fun way to use up taco leftovers.  It was very tasty!  Here's some pics of how it turned out.

2  Re: Easy Pan Seared Asparagus in Vegetarian / Vegan by missliz01 on: November 28, 2007 05:22:40 PM
I first made this shortly after I found this post, and now I'm just a little late in replying and posting my pic.  But anyway, thanks so much for this idea!  I love asparagus and having it prepared this way was amazing.  So, being the huge dork that I am, I had to share a pic of my pan seared asparagus:

It was sooo good, that I made it again tonight.  I also sauteed some red peppers, yellow peppers, and onion and had that as a side.  I made a rice and barley pilaf too.  I cooked it in veggie broth that I made using this really good stuff called Better Than Bouillon.  It's kind of pasty/liquid like and I think has even better flavor than the little cubes.  All together, I thought the colors were a pretty mix and everything was very tasty.  After adding in a chocolate protein drink and some tangerines for dessert, everything was perfect.  So here's a pic of my yummy dinner...

Thanks again rina...I will use the asparagus recipe lots! Smiley

very cool NIN bag!  Speaking of which, I got my stuff from Happy Hooker!!! Weee!  Look at all the cool stuff I got:
Sorry in advance for all the images, but I wanted to show it all off.  These aren't the best pics because I took them using Photo Booth on my computer b/c my boyfriend has his camera with him at work.  So anyway.....
First, an awesome little journal which is great b/c I love to write!  Great lyrics on the front from Jambi.

more coolness on inside of journal
and then...my soft and comfy Lateralus pillow

and finally, NIN messenger!!! I love the front and the length is perfect.  I love when they hit lower right by my hip.

A big thank you to Happy Hooker, I will enjoy it all.

4  These boots!!! in Designer Clothing Homage by missliz01 on: December 27, 2006 08:19:46 PM
Okay, I understand this isn't really clothing.  I also understand that it's not something you can craft, but I figured the designer section was the best place to ask this question.  I know I should know this, but I don't.  I would greatly appreciate it if someone could please tell me who makes the boots Sienna is wearing.  Thanks:)

5  Re: TOOL the band SWAP GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by missliz01 on: October 29, 2006 06:06:31 PM
Okay kids!  Sorry I didn't get this up here sooner.  Tongue  My awesome craft came to me from evilsarah, so a HUGE THANK YOU to her:)  As for the CDs (yes, as in two of them!), I got the latest Isis, which I'm quite diggin'.  The second one is a Tool string(as in orchestra) tribute and "other bits and bobbs" to put it in her words.  I haven't gotten to that one yet but I'm sure it is great!  I've heard a few of the string songs before, but never the whole thing, so I'm looking forward to it.  Now, for the coolest part.  I got so giddy when I pulled out of the package my very own Maynard doll!!!  So cleverly hand stitched and complete with mohawk and tatoos.  I think it is very creative and it rocks my socks.  So, here is:

Sorry the pictures look kind of dark.  I took the pictures at night and my dumb ass forgot to turn the flash on I think.  So I'll try some more with the flash on and if they come out better I will post 'em.  Thanks again to evilsarah for the awesome Tool package and a big big BIG thank you to Spirals for organizing.

I definitely think another swap would be cool.  Whether band specific or not I guess...
