2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: Sons 2nd Birthday Need ideas Please! on: June 03, 2008 05:15:38 AM
This is not necessarily a bug theme, but for a 2 yr old's party, try buying some cheap 3 ring blow up pools (4 or 5) and buy a bunch of beach balls. The toddlers will have a blast jumping from pool to pool and trying to throw the ball to each other. To prevent fighting, make sure you have plenty of balls. (voice of experience here). Good Luck....beth
3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Persian Waxing on: May 09, 2008 05:57:58 AM
Just did this after reading your post. I had always been too scared / cheap to do the salon waxing. This was cheap, easy and really did not hurt that much.  Smiley

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / How to make a balloon arch on: June 12, 2007 07:13:38 AM
Hi All! I have been making balloon arches / columns for years. I thought it might come in handy for summer parties  Smiley

Supplies: latex balloons, helium, paper clips, fishing line, weight(a big rock wrapped in cloth, paper, etc, works well)

Take your fishing line and tie it to your anchor (big rock, what ever you have Wink)

This works best with two people - one inflating balloons and one attaching to the fishing line. Inflate balloons and tie as normal, then instert the paper clip into the tied end below the knot. then, attach the balloon to the fishing line.  Just keep adding balloons till the desired height is reached, then tie your open end to another weight. These are surprisingly easy to make and maneuver. You can also buy a strip from party supply stores. It runs about $6 and works on the same principle, inflate the balloons and attach to the plastic strip. Hope this helps...... Grin
