your title reminds me of my summer camp. our counselor was from australia (melbourne, actually. she flew all the way from melbourne to north carolina for it!) we had to have little calls for our cabin group and ours was AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE! OY OY OY!

ah. good times.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / I've got a big Michael's t-shirt and tiime.... on: August 23, 2007 05:11:22 PM

yeah i've seen the jumper dress, I've MADE it.
what other kinds o' dresses can i make?

Or for that matter, what other kind of clothing/craftiness in general can be sprouted from this wonderful commodity?

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Green awesome dress! comfy too! on: August 21, 2007 05:20:29 PM
OOooooo I'm getting obsessed with dresses, jersey/t-shirt material one especially. I've made one from a big Michaels Tshirt and its SOO comfy.

I admire your jersey skills. Somehow it always bugs me.

Oh, where are you? I've seen those littles "balls in the street for barriers or whatever" before but only in Spain that I can remember.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: hoodie + tutorial [image heavy] on: August 18, 2007 01:00:36 PM
I've got the materials for this and I'm going to hack away at it until my fingers fall off or I have a fabulous new hoodie. Whichever comes first.

I have flannel for the outside and some cotton (batiste? idk what it was called) for the lining. I dont know if I'm going to line the whole thing or not.

I'm gonna try and finagle out a pullover hoodie. I guess I'd just cut out two "back" pieces?

GAHHH I love this pattern. I'm sOO exited! DefINITELY going to post pics.

EDIT- I was planning on making a zebra patterned hoodie with green ribbing/lining. Wouldnt that be so cute?

Well, i thought so. But apparently my local Hancock Fabrics doesnt carry zebra flannel. Or cotton.
They had zebra fauxfur but I declined.

I am seriously bowing down to you right now.
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Pop Tart canvas tote on: June 01, 2007 07:57:17 PM
Ohhhh that's beautiful.

Haha I was fearing that you sewed all of those beads on by hand! Gah! What a feat of patience! I would probably shoot myself had I sewed each INDIVIDUAL bead on.

However, I'd probably shoot myself if I had to hand sew something. Or write (beautifully) the PopTart logo.

I applaud you.

8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Edited: Straw Shrimp! on: April 25, 2007 03:58:29 PM
I don't know if anyone's posted this yet but LOOK! A YouTube video!! Of shrimp-making!

And there's no strange language to decipher! Whee!

All I need is some straws.

PS- Ha. Right as I wrote this, an "endless shrimp at Red Lobster" commercial came on. Coincidence? I think not..
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Beaded Cuppycakes! (3D, too!) on: April 16, 2007 03:12:30 PM

I like the ice cream cone tote.

Are those designs silkscreen, iron-on, what?

Oh, and your name. Is that a reference to the version by Iron & Wine or the Postal Service?

I like the Postal Service one better. "D
