3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Leeloo Dallas, Multipass...MUL-TI-PASS on: November 03, 2010 03:45:15 PM
How funny! We had a Leeloo at a Halloween party I went to-- I never knew it was so popular! Her suspenders were duct tape though, not nearly as neato as yours!
4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Lady Gaga in the Meat Dress (No real meat involved) on: November 01, 2010 02:07:59 PM
We had an almost IDENTICAL costume at a party I went to-- crazy! It looks great!

I disagree with everyone!

I would either shorten them or leave them as is. If you lengthen them with a white bit of fabric, that is going to get gross from sink splatter. It would be less obviously dirty, if you just moved them down, but why bother? Looks great as is! My kitchen window/sink area looks pretty much exactly the same and our full length window covering are pretty constantly getting gross.
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Long distance wedding planning: bridal bouquet on: August 10, 2010 03:18:16 AM
I love it, but I'm with you-- different bow! The size doesn't bother me as much as the color, but since it is obviously YOUR bouquet and YOUR wedding, it's your decision! It really looks awesome though and I love the colors you picked.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / PLEASE help me-- chart reading :( on: January 25, 2010 07:48:00 PM
I am trying very hard to knit a blanket (http://knittikins.wordpress.com/patterns/levis-baby-blanket/, for reference) for a friend having a baby. So far, I have restarted this blanket FOUR times.

Two things are important in this sad, sad query: I have never read/knit from a chart before and I'm left handed.

So, the first two times I started I did not realize that patterns are read from right to left. It looked horrible in some places and fine in others and I went to my lovely LYS today to try and get some help. They pointed me on the right direction there and I went on my way.

My concern now is-- a chart is read from right to left because you knit from right to left? I knit from left to right... what do I do now?!

I love this in a "wish I knew you personally and could whine until you made me one" kind of way!

I'm going to check out your Etsy site right now!
