im working on an alice dress for my frined homecomming (were going in costume) and everything that could go wrong with this dress has. the first itme i sewed the bodie it was hurrdously to short, so i re cut it alltered it and made it to fit ( i think ) i put it on her and it was HUUGGGEEE so i adderd some back shirring and fixed t5hat probelm. then i had to ruffel 6 yards of ruffel into a 3 yard skirt, omg did that take forever and my threads kept bereaking. then i had to ruffel the 3 yard skirt into the waist of the bodice and my thread broke about a billion times. then when i went to sew the skirt to the bodice i thought it was doing it wrong os i un sticked it an fixed it. now the seam of the waist is on the inside but the skirt it ise;f in inside out... omg .... -_- I'm going to go work on the white rabbit outfit for a white before i hurt someone.... or myself ><

I live on a military base and let me tell you the stuff people put in their trash!! Look at this- its like a treasure trove if you can work a sander, a hammer or a sewing machine!!

I found these today! their iron I think... and the only think wrong? the upholstry is ripped!! can you say my sexy new kitchen chairs (now they just nee to throw out a table LOL)

its hard to see but its a dresses, my husband and it carried it 3 blocks to our hoouse. What wrong with it? the bottoms are falling out of the drawers, it just need a little glue and a few small nails, and yes a paint job!! ><

Once upoin a time this was an ugly chair with nasty pink uphosltys, its about to be painted blacka nd uphoslters with star wars fabric for my sons room!! yeah!

just want to share, as i get them done I'll post more pictures!! yeah!!
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Hemp hand bags? on: May 05, 2006 03:07:00 PM
I'm a big advocate about hemp, and I'm thinking of making hand bags out of 100% hemp fabric, but its almost 14.00 a yard. plus the duy is 4.00 a container, do you thin peopel woul be filling to pay 20.00+ dollor for 100% hemp bags that are hand dyed? I'm thinkign for just making a few and see how they go over before i invest a ton of cash into it... wanted ya'lls opinion... here are an example of the totes I made

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / NeckTie Skirt (img heavy) on: May 04, 2006 10:37:25 PM
First off let me say this was not as easy as I thought it would be. I saw pictures of it in the Fruits book and knew i had to do it. it took me a while i find enough times for free so i had to give in a buy 8.
What people don't tell you about working with ties is once you cut them them tend to try and fall apart LOL
And it came out way shorter than i intended but I still hav enough tie left over to make a cute top out of them too (but ould never wear them togeather that would just be to tacky!! ><
anyways here my skirt, ignore my face its like 1230 in the morning and I was super eager to show it off!!

much love and aloha
