3  Beef/Cow...It's what's for dinner **UPDATE: MORE MEAT!!** in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by katatonicP on: July 18, 2008 05:46:00 PM
I started on a new series of unique necklaces featuring diagrams showing various cuts of meat as well as a pieces of the meat itself embedded in resin with a white opaque tinted background.  I dunno why but I think these are my favs that I've done so far.
***See end of page 1 for new meaty pieces***

I've got the winter snow/slush/rain Southern Indiana blues.  So I decided to make something spring-y.

6  Re: Flowers for a green and brown wedding? Plus pics of centerpiece and dress pi in Weddings and Bridal Showers by katatonicP on: September 15, 2007 03:02:49 PM
i had similar colors in my wedding (green and burgundy) and also used willow for my centerpieces.  For the bouquets I used fiddle-headed fern which everyone loved.  I thought it made the bouquets unique.

(they are the curly-q's popping sporadically in the bouquet)

7  Cutest cake-topper ever!! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by katatonicP on: September 04, 2007 10:24:11 AM
So, I was absolutely in love with these adorable cake toppers made by Patch NYC - one problem - they were $500!!!  Crushed, I almost shelved a cake topper altogether...until I decided to ask my crafty friend if she could mimic the topper.  Thankfully, she said she would love to and did an amazing job!

good likeness no?  Cheesy

I love my custom friend-made topper so much better than the expensive designer one...yayy!!

8  Barack Obama Hoodie for my Mom in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by katatonicP on: December 16, 2006 10:20:02 AM
My mom is all about Sen. Obama and asked me if I could make her a shirt that she saw on Macy Gray.  The only photo I could find of the shirt was this

Based off of that, this is what I came up with in Photoshop

and I transfered it onto a hoodie for her x-mas present.

...sorry, the picture's kinda crummy.

I hope she'll like her present...and think that this looks close enough to the original!!  Happy hols!

So...I totally stole this idea from ReadyMade...but I went as a Freudian Slip this past Halloween.  Only one person guessed it tho...haha.  I wore a slipdress, a guy's sweater, and a name tag that said: Dr. Freud.  This is the best pic I have of the costume...sorry bout the strange pose Cheesy
