1  Re: Let Me Make Your Craft II Pictures in The Swap Gallery by Freckles on: March 08, 2005 10:53:48 PM
I recieved my Items from Freckles yesterday, and I love them.
There was a picture frame with some fringe around it, a calendar to put in the frame, a small felt bag with cats on it,  a decorative bell hanging (that my cats were really wanting to play with and will fit in well with my 70's owl decor) and (my favorite) resin coasters with dominos in them.
\Thanks so much!
Here is the before:

Here is the after picture!

I hope you like everything, it was an interesting swap!

KateGirl made me the happiest ever.   A great Package.

I went to my moms the other day wearing my wool free woolie cap, and she said, in classic nosy mom fashion  "What's on your head?"  Then after the obvious stumbling as to explain how exactly someone I did not actually know sent it to me, she said "Well I saw one like that and almost bought it for you"  So dear Kate, you were right on the money.  Thank you...and my mom approves!!
I have a scarf of similar color from my Year Long Secrect Crafter...

Finally I will post the pictures of silloh77 sent me to work with:

I promise these things look very different now....winks and waves a pair of scissors in the air

BTW...DeniseM, I hope you are doing well with my oddball colors. Maybe the stimuli of intense orange will hit your brain where the sunshine isn't with this wet weather.

People about die when you tie dye.  The easiest way to do it, with the least amount of work and most wow factor is with dual colors, ie blue and purple, red and orange, green and yelllow.

Take those fantastic marbles that everyone uses for maganets, then put them in the fabric and secure around with rubber band.  Repeat a bunch of times randomly around the fabric, then use the squirt bottle dye in random forms.

I did 5 packs of them at once, and I am set for showers for 2 years!!  I did size S-L so that there are several ages for the kiddies to have.

After I left my house on Christmas day, I returned to find a USPS package from BlenderCrush in my door.  The gift was a great Patchwork hand bag, with what appears to be vintage fabric.  Thank you so much Holiday Armadillo, I love it.  My stuff is indeed in it for this picture.  Interestingly, I tried to explain to my cousin where I recieved the gift from, and just gave up and said it was a Christmas Present.

7  ULGY Sweater Seat+fun fur= Miss. Santa in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Freckles on: December 16, 2004 08:09:12 AM
I posted a bit ago about needin a Santa Set.  With many hours of fur cutting, machine sewing, and GASP, hand sewing..I made a Miss.Santa for me, and a Sleepy Santa for my bf.  He has a set of polyester PJ from the 70's and I have an 80's sweater/skirt set (yes I cut out the shoulder pads).

Around the bottom hem of the sweater, and the sleeves and the hats, were machine sewed.  The necklines were too fussy and think to machine so I hand sewed them on.  His neck piece is a vintage fake ladies collar, it was super thick, but nice,in that I did not have to hem,or measure of cut.
