Great stuff guys!  I'm loving all these soft, springtime colors.  Here are my skeins from this week.  They are all wool & mohair blended...I loooove me some mohair!

Have a great weekend Smiley

WOW!  I think this is my favorite Fiber Friday ever!  I wish I wasn't completely out of wool, because if I had any left I'd be up dying all night with all the inspiration you guys have given me.  Hopefully a new shipment will arrive tomorrow Smiley  Due to said lack of wool, I only have 2 to show this week:

and Granite

Have a great weekend everyone!

5  Re: Knitted cupcake hat! in Knitting: Completed Projects by kristiehaynes on: January 23, 2007 05:50:06 AM
What a great idea to crochet the trim...I made that hat for my niece this Christmas, and the little nubbles took as long to knit as the entire rest of the hat.  I left off the pom pom & sewed beads & buttons to the top instead.  Here's my version:

My Grandpa came over for Memorial Day, and being a former Marine he requested that I spin a "patriotic" skein of yarn.  Well, how can you say no to Grandpa?  Here it is:

From spinning this skein I learned that I LOATHE sequins!  I thought they would be very similar to spinning in beads, but I was wrong wrong wrong.  Still, I really like the effect!

Nice yarn sock!  I have FINALLY done some spinning this week as well...

...and, I heard back from my buyer with the mystery envelope!  She totally forgot to put the money order in the envelope (which is what I had suspected) and is sending it today.

You'll be sitting there with your spindle or wheel and all of a sudden you'll realize that you really LOVE the yarn that you're making. Like your hands have decided how its done on their own and didn't bother to tell the rest of you Smiley

lol...I tried explaining that concept to the lady who owns a LYS that carries my yarns, and she didn't get it.  I basically said that the fiber decides what it wants to become more than the spinner decides most of the time, and she just looked at me like I was nuts.  Thanks for making me feel not so crazy!  Here is one I did with the mill ends recently:

I have a question...I've been selling baby booties made from my own pattern for a while now on etsy.  They don't sell nearly as well online as they do at craft fairs, so I was wondering if I should think about selling the pattern.  It's a pretty straightforward pattern for maryjanes, then you can just embellish them however you like.  It would obviously mean that the sales on my booties would drop dramatically, but I think it might be worth it if I were making more sales on the pattern.  Here is an example of the booties:

I thought I would put the pattern in pdf (like roxycraft does) and that way the shipping would be free.  What do you guys think?  Should I keep my pattern to myself?  I am torn!
