31  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Debbie Bliss baby dress with eyelets on: March 07, 2007 01:15:42 PM
You're right, mahkev, that's the pattern for it.  Both are cute, though.
It would be a definite no-no to type up that pattern here, but for those who don't want to buy the book, there's always the public library.

I think it's a debbie bliss pattern called the "Picot Dress":

juniperl13 , I love your turqoise thong - the black ribbon looks great on it.  I think I'll just use ribbon on mine as well.  I'm going to use a synthetic as well - it's a viscose yarn and it feels soft enough.
yarnhag, you always seem to make everything clearer.

Thanks for that little bit of news.  One of her appearances is close to me.  I'm looking forward to seeing her and hearing her passionate words about knitting.  I might wear one of my knitty creations when I go.

There are some great spring & summer 2007 patterns on the garnstudio / drops site:  http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift_nye.php.  If you don't find anything there, they have over 1800 other free patterns to choose from on their site.

Impshlady, you are a sweetie for putting the tut up on YouTube!
37  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Entrelac Scarf in SWS on: March 05, 2007 07:56:44 AM
I've got a question about blocking for those who used SWS.  Did you do a full soak of your scarf and then pin it into place or did you pin it into place first and then just lightly spray it with water?
I also wanted to thank tragicheroine for getting this started.  This scarf pattern never appealed to me until I saw yours and like many of you said, it's like SWS was created especially for entrelac.
I've started mine in Natural Earth, but after seeing knittastic09's spumoni scarf, I know I have to make one in that colourway too.
This is one of the most fun things I've knit in a long time!

That's really unique, xx_Kellybean.  It makes me want to attempt double knitting.

Very cute hat.  I'd be tempted to attach a giant fluff ball at the top.  Btw, I have the same papasan chair - isn't it great for getting all comfy in and knitting?
40  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Branching Out scarf knit-along on: February 12, 2007 12:18:54 PM
I finished my branching out a few weeks ago and just now noticed your knit-a-long so I thought I'd post.  I love seeing how differently everyone's turn out.  I used a mohair blend and size 6 mm. needles and did 25 repeats of the lace pattern.  I can't believe how much the look and the length of this scarf changed after I blocked it.
