3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: scarves and other stuff! on: August 30, 2004 10:46:54 PM
yeay! I finally went on your site. your scarves are beautiful! but what is up with the prices!?! I make them hand made and I don't know anyone that would spend $50-$60 on a scarf, hand made or not.

as cute as that is, i don't think it can be considered handmade.  i know you're still working some with your hands, but there's something to be said about working the yarn yourself with your own two hands and a pair of needles and nothing else.

for instance, if i were to recieve something knit on two needles from someone, it would mean more to me than if someone just dashed it off on a knitting machine.  does that make sense?  and it means more to me to knit something for someone by hand because of all the effort and planning and time i put into it.

anyway, having said that, it's a hella sexy scarf nonetheless.  ;-)  cheers.

I think I have to agree. But they are beautiful none the less.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Kitty eared zip-up hoodie! on: August 30, 2004 10:15:07 PM
yours is super cute. I make one a few years ago (before Emily the Strange) It was a year before Josie and the Pussiecats came out and everyone was asking me if i did it because of the movie. People can be so stupid sometimes! Anyway, mine was a black hoodie with grey leopord print ears and around the pockets. I wore it so much it fell apart.  Cry Some day I'll make a new one.
