1  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Spiderweb Capelet - HELP! on: March 02, 2005 07:32:24 AM
Myarny, check out this page.  It's all the typos and misprints and general errata for the patterns in both books, and they list corrections for the Spiderweb Capelet.  Basically, the yo's aren't supposed to be there and it's just supposed to be kpkp into one stitch.  Then again, I didn't try it with the dropping the yo trick, so that might end up looking better  Smiley
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Fess up, who's got a knitting blog? on: February 08, 2005 06:34:35 AM
I've got one....it's at http://kittyknit.blogspot.com .  It's been going almost a year now...pretty much as long as I've been knitting  Cheesy
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Joining yarn/ knitting in ends on: February 03, 2005 03:43:41 PM
The beautiful thing about preferring to work with wool is you can spit splice it...no ends!

Otherwise, I just tie the new yarn in a slip knot, slip that around the old yarn, and weave the ends in at the end of knitting.  I hate weaving ends.  I'm very bad at it.

The only thing I've had ends come out of is a novelty yarn scarf.  They just slipped right out.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: What have YOU knitted on? on: February 02, 2005 07:03:33 PM

Once I found a livejournal community for people knitting drunk.  I can't remember the name of it, though!  Can anyone help?

It's "drunkenknitters"...last post was mid-January.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: How many needles have you broken? on: February 01, 2005 06:14:48 AM
Never broken a knitting needle, but I did break a Crystalites crochet hook last week.

i always do seem to set the alarm off though... And they can never figure out what it is.

My shoes set off the alarm last time I flew...my flimsy leather slip-on shoes with no metal in them whatsoever.  Couldn't figure that one out.

Cheesy  A few months back I went to a wedding with my boyfriend at which the groomsmen all wore kilts.  So of course I was staring at the kilt hose one of them was wearing (such intricate cables!) and now my boy jokes about me staring at the guy's legs.

So if you need an intervention, so do I!

May I auction the cat?  She isn't fond of me anyway and why shouldn't  I get some fancy yarn out of it, I've fed and housed for the past ten years and she won't even lift a paw to kill a cricket.

Auction her to me, my kitty needs a friend!  (And someone to be lazy with...)
