1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Pop Tab PEACE choker on: May 14, 2008 11:04:37 PM
Very cool.  It reminds me of the OLD kind that I used to make, the ones with the old original pull tabs.  (yea, I'm dating myself).
Great job, and great recycling.

Hit your local thrift for old wooden boxes, jewelry boxes, or other box type stuff and decoupage them.    They'd be great memory boxes.

I like Choco's idea, around a can for storage/display.

I don't know what I could tell you to do differently, but I do like your tape measure bags.
I'd hang in there a while longer, I hope it comes around for you.

I really am a chauffeur and we're in the middle of Prom season right now.  Last weekend I had a prom group and heard one of the girls saying that she was starved, but couldn't eat at their dinner because her dress was too tight!  I hope your's isn't that tight!
I like your dress SO much better than all that I've seen.  So much more individual and beautiful.  Enjoy your Prom!

Wow!  That's a great skirt.  You've done a great job!
Now, I bet there are many hubby's lamenting the loss of their tapestries now... as lots of craftsters are cutting them up to try this too!

anyone know of a tute for the pillowcase dress?

I've looked and my granddaughter is visiting this weekend.  She's learning to sew and this would be another great project for her.
