1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: spoil my doll swap? on: April 23, 2008 12:05:27 PM
Thanks for the clarification-- a lot easier (and cheaper!) not to be sending dolls around!  Are we going to go for the summer then?
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: spoil my doll swap? on: April 16, 2008 01:31:19 PM
I would be interestd in joining the swap if bigger dolls were allowed in (like 18 inch American Girl type dolls).  I have just got an American Girl doll and she needs to be spoiled Smiley Summer time would be good for me, if that is when people are wanting to do it.

I love Lloyd-- he's fantastic!  I can't believe that you made him over Easter, seriously, that is awesome Smiley
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / knitting and egl (elegant gothic lolita)? on: March 28, 2008 03:30:56 PM
I am wondering if EGL/Elegant Gothic Lolita style includes any knitwear, and if so, what sort?  I am doing a swap of a doll outfit on another board, and the doll's style is meant to be EGL.  As knitting/crochet are my better skills, I was wondering if there were any knit things I could make to fit-- so I have turned to all you keen Craftsters for help.

I don't think the outfit needs to be strict in style (as I am aware there are lots of rules surrounding this fashion) but any help would be much appreciated!

These are so cute-- the look like little pixie feet!  I could see them for Christmas... Nice work Smiley

My gosh, how sweet are your girls and these dresses!  I love them in the photo with the Christmas tree, they look so sweet and old fashioned.

Great work Smiley

To say you only know the basics of crochet, you did a really good job Smiley  Are you going to leave her without a face?

I will have to check the book out, I know lots of people who would love one of these!
8  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / Re: Knitting & Stitch Show - Harrogate on: October 22, 2007 05:26:06 AM
You should definitely visit Duttons for Buttons!  They have more buttons than you could ever imagine.  They have shops in York and Ilkley as well.  I believe they were the company that supplied the buttons for the Pirates of the Carribean films...
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: New Knit.1 preview up! on: August 26, 2007 01:22:29 PM
It is now about half lion brand yarns, half others.  They changed from exclusively lion brand a few issues ago.  They have also made it full magazine sized now, when it was smaller before (I liked it in the smaller size).
10  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: NEWBIES ONLY Round 6 (SIGNUPS 8/24-8/30; SENDOUTS 9/19) on: August 26, 2007 01:08:11 PM
I participated in the last round of this swap and it is terrific.  Kish is a great organiser and is very good at explaining things and answering all questions.

I look forward to seeing your gallery!
