2  Kitschy Corsage Cuff Bracelets in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by evolpixie on: August 14, 2008 11:15:56 AM
I had some vintage cuff bracelets I had bought online and they ended up being not what I expected and I also had some big plastic flowers and vintage shoe clips. Then, my friends, I had a brainstorm and here is what I came up with....

I'm really excited about how they turned out! Grin

5  a clock for the mantle (IMG HEAVY) in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by evolpixie on: March 03, 2007 09:03:50 AM
I've tried to get my boyfriend to sign up for an account on here, but he is reluctant to. So, on his behalf, I present to you my valentine's gift from him. A clock he made from a wooden sign that was painted/stained/beaten with a chain, artificial flowers, little trinkety things and part of a music box.
"be mine...'til the end of time"

image of a heart he painted. it has a doorknob with a keyhole and two keys. he painted a rose in the style of the feathery thingy in the flower box.

6  A Shrine For My Love in Valentine's Day by evolpixie on: February 13, 2007 11:54:58 AM
This is one of the gifts for my boyfriend on Valentine's Day. It still needs a few finishing touches, but for the most part it's complete. I just used a paper mache heart I bought from Hobby Lobby and cut an opening with a craft knife. I painted the entire ornament, inside and out. Then I bought some artificial roses that I snipped and hot glued to the inside. I photo copied a picture of us and glued that to cardboard, then glued a dresden halo behind that. There's a little plastic cupid in the upper right corner. I finished the edges with 2 layers of trim. The backside has a metal charm with an appropriate quote and the same trim around it (it was tough since the heart isn't smooth and flat to get it to lay right, but the trim hides that-although it is off center Grin). I glued some lovely dresden wings on either side of the charm and wah la! This is what I've got:

7  The Bestest Coasters yikes!...img heavy in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by evolpixie on: November 08, 2006 09:37:32 AM
Lately I've been working on some coasters whenever I have had the time. Upon nearing completion, I decided to share some photos (because I am so excited about them!) these were all made using ceramic tiles, vintage playing cards, paper, decoupage medium, trim, foam, glue and resin.

wacky space-barbarian "Slap Jak"

the rhinestone edges of the space-barbarian coasters

i'm not sure of this game..."Land Rage" or something? Sweet images.

"hearts"...not finished putting the trim on these yet!

"animal rummy"

featuring 'Gay Dog' (i know it's immature, but it makes me giggle!)
