11  Re: Japanese Style Boucle Bag in Crochetalongs by Mienna on: May 06, 2010 04:43:54 PM
Is this what yours looked like? This is just after the 5th row. It almost looks like I didn't chain enough but it comes out right. I have 56 stitches for the chain row, and 112 now at the 5th row, I'm so confused.  Sad

12  Homemade Turbie Twist in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by Mienna on: April 30, 2010 06:30:34 PM
I decided to take some of the old worn out towels we have and turn them into more hair wraps, because mine is falling apart (very sad). I used the old turbie twist to cut this one out, measured seem allowance from the old one and sewed away. I think it turned out great, it's a little bit shorter then the original, but that's ok.

Comparing the two.

Please let me know if this isn't the right board!

13  Re: 2009 12" Squares- November in Crochetalongs by Mienna on: November 06, 2009 05:55:50 PM
Here's my August square, I think it's cute. To be honest, I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but now that it's done, I really do. I like the clean and crisp look of it in all blue.

14  Re: 2009 12" Squares- October in Crochetalongs by Mienna on: October 21, 2009 08:54:27 PM
I finally finished my July (Ravelry) square! This is the most excited I've been about crafting in a while, it reminded me just how much I enjoy yarn crafts. This is my first solid square this year, I plan on doing the Craftster Aug square in solid Blue.

15  Crocheted Ephelant in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Mienna on: October 19, 2009 05:25:08 PM
The pattern is from Vanna's Choice - Easy Crochet Critters. The instructions were easy and the whole thing was quick to make up. I love me an ephelant. Cheesy Hope you like it! I'd love any suggestions on ways to attach things like ears/legs/tails, because I pretty much suck at it.

16  Cabled Bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Mienna on: August 21, 2009 07:27:05 PM
This pattern is from the Bead and Button magazine and I love it! It took me a few videos to figure out the herringbone stitch, but after that it worked up really quickly. Next time I will work with more contrasting center beads. The green and brown are too close, so it's hard to tell them apart from a distance.

17  Re: 2009 12" Squares- July in Crochetalongs by Mienna on: July 08, 2009 07:41:19 AM

Here's my July square! I'm working on the Ravelry one now. This square was really nice, it was easy and quick! Smiley

P.S. This square actually came out big, I had to use an HDC for the last row, instead of a DC. I was so used to having to add rows it threw me all off for it to be close to normal size. :p

18  Beaded Ring - Wave (four pics) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Mienna on: July 03, 2009 08:29:58 PM
These are from the Bead and Button magazine and it was so easy to make! It came out too big for my fingers, but I know what I'm going to do different for the next one. Smiley

P.S. Please don't mind the ink all over my fingers, I had a pen explode on me at work this morning. Bic ink doesn't like to come off nails/hands.:p

Here's my version. The pattern was great, it was easy to follow, and quick to work up. Smiley

There's a few more pics on my blog of the back and all. Smiley

This square worked up really quickly with an I hook! I like it, the instructions were easy to follow, even if you're watching tv. Cheesy
