I am thinking I may machine a king sized quilt, not sure if it's possible Tongue

It is possible especially if you roll the side you aren't quilting up tight - that way it will fit through the machine.  All the best with it!

I don't get how you machine quilted such a giant quilt tho.

If you look at the picture on the first page, you can get a better idea.  I rolled up one side and then draped the other side over the table and a chair (that you can't see.)  I held lots of it on my lap and slowly worked my way through.  It wasn't the easiest thing to do, but it's do-able!

Okay, I'm jealous of Dulcinea now - I'd love one of those quilting calendars  Grin

Okay, ladies, just a reminder that being in communication with your partner is important!!

I know that not all of you have communicated with your partners yet so, if you haven't already done so, please, at the least, send a note saying Hi and letting them know you are working on their project.  It's not fun going through a swap and not hearing anything, it makes you begin to wonder if your partner is going to come through or not!

Homerof2, I'd love to know how I can drop the feed dog on my machine so I can do free motion... do I have to open it up?

I have a Janome too, the MemoryCraft 4000.  I just looked up your MyStyle 24 on the internet so I could see a picture of it and it looks like it may work the same way.  The lower left side (where the extra bobbins are stored) slides off my machine and it looks like yours should too.  Slide that off and look underneath the back side of the machine - there should be a switch there and if you slide it the opposite way it is now, the feed dogs should drop.  That's how it is on my machine and I'm assuming your should be similar - the switch might be on the back rather than underneath.  If this doesn't work, check your manual and if you don't have one, take it in to a sewing store, they should be able to help you.
