That looks great!

When my sons were young we used flat cloth diapers, folded them to fit and then covered them with rubber pants.  I would loved to have something this nice to cover over that!

It is regular 4-ply, I used a mercerised cotton and a 3mm hook.

Really, I thought it was thread!  Great job.  Now try it with thread and a small hook  Grin , I find that even more addicting and always have at least one on the go.

Great job!  My favorite is the bear in the top picture, on the left, with the heart nose.  I love the color of it and the nose!

Great job!  I'd love to have a pin cushion like this instead of my boring container with a magnetic top.

What do you stuff a pincushion with? I've never made one. I was wondering if fiberfill would be too mushy, does it have to be something firmer so the pins stay in it?

I don't know what Dobedoop used in this one but any pincushion I've made, I used fiberfill and stuffed it very well.

And sorry, Homerof2, if you felt like I was having a go at you--I wasn't, it's just that yours was the nearest "spelling doesn't matter" remark I could find. Ultimately it's a personal preference, so there's no right answer as to whether or not you should correct someone's spelling, but I don't think it can hurt if it's done gently and sparingly.

I didn't think you were having a go at me at all.

Maybe you misunderstood what I meant.  Spelling matters LOTS to me and it drives me nuts when I see mistakes here and elsewhere!  What I meant by this comment "but I don't do anything about them because, in the whole scheme of life, it doesn't really matter." was that I wasn't going to correct someone every time I saw a mistake because I have other things to do with my time and, most times, I've found people don't care.

I've spoken up tons at church when the overheads and bulletins have spelling mistakes and usually I get a 'well do it yourself if you aren't happy with it' or 'does it really matter anyway?'.

Ask my sons how much spelling means to me!  Grin

I think everyone should get back to crafting.  Don't you guys have some swaps to participate in or something? Cheesy

Yes, mother!  Kiss  (although I probably shouldn't say that since the last time I said it to someone, I found out they were younger than me.  I'm one of the 'oldies' on this board and so you probably couldn't be my mother)

or Ive seen people misspell something on a craft (ouch!) before and not realize it.

Yeah, that's a bad thing!  I recently was looking at a picture of a craft with a saying and there was a spelling error.  I wasn't sure who I felt the worst for, the person who made it or the person who received it.

pictures - we want pictures!

Have patience, have patience, don't be in such a hurry
When you get impatient you only start to worry
Remember, remember that we are patient too,
And think of all the times that others have to wait for you!

so...would anyone NOT want to know if their craftster name was spelled wrong?

This was an interesting thread to read.

I would never PM someone to tell them their screen name was spelled wrong because maybe that's how they wanted it spelled and, who cares really, it's a screen name!

I am a real stickler for spelling and it drives me nuts when I see posts full of mistakes but I don't do anything about them because, in the whole scheme of life, it doesn't really matter.  I will only comment if someone asks if they have spelled something wrong and then I send them a PM rather than post it on the board.

I always read over my posts to make sure I don't miss something and if I do miss something, I correct it as soon as I notice.  Grin  Previewing posts is also a very good idea.
