I'm making square eggs!!

We had a square egg maker when I was a kid - so they are OLD, like me!

Does anybody make crochet stitch markers with an open ring thingy instead of the knitting stitch markers? I would love some crochet ones!

I have a ton of crochet stitch markers made with earrings that open and close and they work great but I'm not sure if I could make them good enough to offer here.  I'm sure someone else probably can, though!

I'm in again (man this is addicting) - I'll probably be offering bags again since I really like making them and if I can think of something else, I may actually go in for 10 items.

4836  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 12" Crochet Square of the Month Craftalong - JULY on: July 02, 2007 07:08:35 PM
Well, I'm back and ready to post July's squares!  I was away for 10 days and you would think I had lots of time to make these 2 while driving but it wasn't until we were on our way home today that I actually got them finished!

This month's easy square is probably one of the easiest I've picked but I really like it!

Easy

This month's experienced square is different than anything I've ever made - it combines my love of crochet and quilting.  I've made it and while it's not really hard, it just uses some different techniques (sewing) and takes a little bit of figuring (just be sure to read and count carefully and you'll be able to figure out what the designer wants you to do) - there is actually a typo in round 5 but it's easy to figure out.  Have fun with it and I can't wait to see what colors everyone uses for it!

Experienced

I'm done the July squares but my son broke his digital camera on holidays and so I either have to wait until it's fixed or borrow hubby's work one before I can post pictures - hopefully later this week.

Oh, I like that gkswife!  It looks very striking on you.  Congrats on the weight loss!  (I hope it was intentional and not due to sickness)

i am just wondering if any of you fabulous craftsters have any thoughts about what polymer clay goodies you want me to offer for Round 10?!

I agree with penguino that summer treats would be great.  I'd also like 'cute' vegetables like corn, peas, carrots (what I mean by cute is with faces.)  I'd also like to see them as magnets.

I received a fantastic parcel from ZaftigMomma today!  Wow, do I feel spoiled.

When I opened the box to get out my parcel (there were actually 4 of them today), I saw this unusual shape wrapped in paper.  "Hmm, I thought, kinda looks like a hat box, I wonder what's in it."  After unwrapping all the red strapping tape, this is what I found:

I could hardly wait to get home to take a picture so I could empty the box and see what all kinds of candy there were.  Look at it all!!

any kind I could imagine and then some - even edible paper which I've never heard of.

The orange fabric is going to be added to the collection for my son's quilt and that candy is going to be added to my tummy  Grin  (over a long stretch of time, of course!) and I'm going to find a good use for the box, too.  Can never have enough fancy boxes!
