1  My first hand-painted, home dyed yarn! in Dyeing: Completed Projects by JennBabe on: August 14, 2007 06:48:53 PM
So this is my first try at dyeing yarn.  I wasn't too sure how it would turn out, because it looked a bit splotchy when it was in a big loop... but once I skeined it, it looks fabulous!

I used koolaid, in strawberry watermelon, orange, and cherry, one packet of each.

2  Re: Want to recommend infant hat pattern for a boy? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by JennBabe on: June 19, 2007 05:46:05 PM
I second the Cabled baby hat on heyjulie's blog.  It's an easy pattern to follow, and looks great when knit up.

Most were made with soft acrylic, and one was made with Knitpicks Shine worsted (the orangy yellow one) and it took less than one skein!

3  Two more baby sweaters... and a hat! in Knitting: Completed Projects by JennBabe on: June 16, 2007 05:21:00 PM
Finished these two sweaters up for a gift!  Thought I'd share Smiley

They were both really quick knits... finished in less than a week!  The second sweater, I added a pretty lacy border so that it wasn't so plain.

More info on my blog!

4  Re: Child's Placket Sweater KAL in Knitalongs by JennBabe on: June 03, 2007 12:59:25 PM
Ok, so I'm finally posting pics of my completed sweater... I finished it well over a month ago now, and I love how it turned out!

The picture isn't the greatest, but you get the idea.  I added some flair by knitting some stripes and patterns in white.  Also, the hat is from the book also, with a coordinating tie (with the ends not yet sewn in)!

Yarn: Bernat Satin, 2 skeins of maitai and scraps of snow for both sweater and hat.
Needles: Knitpicks Options size 7, 24"
Size: 12 months

5  Re: Diamond and Smocked Baby Blanket KAL! in Knitalongs by JennBabe on: May 28, 2007 06:00:30 PM
I just started knitting this blanket over the weekend!  What a lovely pattern.  I was helping my parents with their garage/moving sale (they are moving in July, after living in the house they built for 20 years).  Anyway, here is the progress I made over two days:

Yarn: Lion Brand Baby Soft, color Bubble Gum
Needles: Knitpicks Options, size 6
