@kittenmittens  Cheesy  I'm so glad you liked the scarf!  Few things are as comforting as good, squishy winter wear.

I've also received YOUR awesome package and I have peeeeectures!

When I came home from work I saw my package already inside the apartment (the guy who came to fix my washer apparently brought it inside because it was sitting outside my door, which was nice).

And I opened it and saw this

How adorable is that?  The package is filled with little fabric flowers and green tissue paper and the whole thing was like a tiny meadow in a box.

Adorable hair comb!  I always feel so 1920's/steampunk chic when I wear one.  I had one similar to this on my Wists.

Look at that delicate hand stitching!

Button bracelet, also in my Wists!  My partner did such a good job of stalking me.

Tasty chocolate!  The chocolate is actually made in Seattle, and kittenmittens even lives near the factory, which sounds like the best place to live ever.

But what is this?

A hand-bound journal??  FOR MOI???
The paper is recycled and she printed the lines herself.  And the outside is so clean and  professional looking!  That is a definite labor of love right thurr.

This might be my favorite part of the letter  Smiley

Thank you so much, kittenmittens!  You've been an awesome swap friend!

So close...I haven't knit in the past week, but I'm hoping to finish in the next four or five days.  I'm about 3.5 feet along (just over a meter!), so YAYAYAYAY!
Nannetta----Oh my gosh, that's gorgeous!  Perfect color!
Here are a coupla lowlowlow qual pictures...

This one is closer to the color...it's supposed to be an intense watermelon pink color.
Buzz says "Hi."

this one gots the size down, but it's really not that red.

3  First post: finished Calorimetry and a WIP in Knitting: Completed Projects by radiationbaby on: February 22, 2008 12:38:52 PM
Ah!  I've never posted a proyecto before!  I'm a leetle excited, because no-one in my life is as excited about crafting things.  My DBF supports it, but he's not the crafty type; he doesn't get me like you do. Wink  Onward!
Well, this Calorimetry was finished last year during November.  I never really got around to loading pictures and posting, because I was lazy and I didn't use it at first.  I was kind of scared that it would fall apart or something.  Thankfully, that hasn't happened (yet).

The first one is a better shot of the color.  Used LionBrand Homespun in Harvest, knit on size 10 needles.  I love the combo of the earth tones and the jewel hues.
I've been working on this scarf sporadically since December '07.  I'm hoping to have it done by my mom's birthday, first week of April.   Grin

Just a dropped stitch row for every four rows of garter stitch.  I think it's Caron Simplysoft, dark sage, on sixze 8 needles.
Alright!  Dig in and tell me what you think!  Comments, critiques, and strange quotes are all welcome.

Received from mai apple pie!  Awright.

"I say, Fitzwilliam, old chap, what have you there?"

"It appears to be a gorgeous watercolor rendering of Chihiro and Haku from Spirited Away, Charles."
"Why, I do believe you're correct!"

"Rather nice hat, don'tcha know."
"Yes, indeed, but... I say, what the devil's wrong with her eye?"

"Are those...stitch markers?"
"Of course, Charles, old boy.  What else could they be?"
"Thong charms?"
"...why, I believe I have some business to take care of.  Yes.  Business.  I simply must be leaving now."
"Do you suppose you'll be done in time f--"

Charles and Fitz agree that it's pretty awesome.  Thanks, mai!

Oh my gosh, I feel so spoiled!
(I'm sorry that the photos are low quality; I had to post ASAP, so I couldn't wait for daylight)

Geisha bags, a purple star bag, and a pretty pink bag with a pond embroidered onto it and a turtle patch.

Adorable cookie cutters, nori punches, snacks, orange slice ice cube tray, silicone cups, ceramic bowl and spoon set (with a little boat for mah spoon), heart shaped food picks, various snackies, mixing spoon for rice, and TOTORO BAG.

ZOOM in on THE bag.

Check out some of those snacks!

The final appearance of the awesome Totoro bag.  Jealous?  I know I am!

Orrkid, you are amazing!  I'm so worried now....especially since I have to mail the forgotten bit...
