3  Re: I love Mexico Swap 2 in The Swap Gallery by InkKitten on: May 18, 2006 07:37:26 PM
DARN!! alwaysinmyroom beat me to posting pics . . . . BEWARE!!! LOADS OF PICTURES TO FOLLOW!!!

ok first up is an AWESOME chili pepper shaped zipper pouch, in her note she said that honey and i would have to fight over it, well, we're going to share it. i get to carry it in my purse, but it's got all her finger nail stuff in it.

ok then a really REALLY cool senorita zipper bag . . . i'm now using this for all my art supplies such as pencils  and sketch book because i can NEVER find m pencil or sketchbook!this also goes in my purse:

LOVE this fabric this is one of the Hubby's favorites

then i got this rocking wall art . . thing . .  this is too freaking cool . . it's already up (and alwaysinmyroom, i would re-gift this OVER MY DEAD BODY, AND they'd have to pry it from my COLD DEAD HANDS) . . . this is a mexican cowgirl mounted on a board that was a part of her HOUSE!! i LOVE THIS however i couldn't take a pic with the flash, perhaps  you have a better pic alwaysinmyroom?

AND  if all that wasn't enough, i got some knitting supplies . . DH said "you always need more yarn"  . . =) i've trained him well . .

BUT WAIT!!! there's LOTS MORE!!!!

possibly the coolest totebag EVER created :

close up of the COOL COOL COOL fabric . . Hubby loves this too . .  it's skeletons and lizards playing music . . which is RIGHT up my alley!

then the crowning glory . . . .

i COULD NOT STOP smiling at my honey as the most beautiful senorita on the block . . the "top" is just pinned for now as she didn't have exact dog measurements so i'll whip it up soon, but for pictures sake i just pinned it . . . i'm also thinking that it's supposed to go around her backside, but it WAY easier to take good pictures when she can see my hand signals . . Wink

ALSO she sent me her husband's CD . . through our communication for this swap, we found out that her hubby is a drummer, and i'm a drummer too. they recorded a ROCKIN cd and donated all the profits to hurricane katrina victims . . *misting up* they're both so kind hearted and generous!!!

all in all i am SOOO SPOILED! the quality of this stuff is AMAZING to anyone that gets her in the future YOU ARE JUST AS LUCKY AS ME!!!  thank you cant even describe the way i feel right now.

ok  . . i'm in my local rollerderby, well i joined 3 weeks ago and i had to get my own pair of skates. so i bought these . .

WOO HOO big 5 special $44. . . but you know how things go  . . i started eye balling a pair of 14 eyelet black doc martins that i hardly ever wear anymore.  . . . . i didn't take a before picture, but they looked like this . . but gently used . .

Girls, Make your husband do all the hard work ask for your husbands help drilling out a pair of great shoes .. .  attach some bolts and voila!!

i'm not sure how great they're going to work allignment wise . . i have roller derby tomorrow. . . so i'll edit with info about how they worked.  . .  i'm not expecting anything great, but they're cool as hell anyway  Grin

8  Honey loves argyle in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by InkKitten on: April 05, 2006 12:40:51 AM
ok, so it was my birthday this past weekend, and my best friend gave me this  AWESOME pink red and cream plaid/ argyle tote. i LOVE it!! . . but honey loved it too and felt left out of the cuteness.

The tote:

SOOO i recently made a doggie "scarf" for a partner in a doggie lovers swap, and i liked the way it looked so much that i made honey a matching pink red and cream argyle "scarf"  to wear when i'm carrying the tote.

The Scarf:

And an action shot:  (sorry she looks like a giraffe here . .  weird camera angle)

this was my first time knitting argyle, and after the first knock down drag out rows it wasn't that bad. but i wish the pink would have stood out better against the cream. =/
hope you all enjoy!

9  my first knitting post, my first sweater! in Knitting: Completed Projects by InkKitten on: March 31, 2006 12:44:59 AM
this is my first sweater  . . uhm . . that i've COMPLETED. i've been dreaming of it since i learned to knit about a year ago. it started out as a child's hooded sweater pattern here :
then i changed every little thing about it until is was PERFECT.  well, it's FAR from perfect, but i learned from my mistakes and the next one will be PERFECT i PROMISE.

i wanted a short sweater sometimes called a boob holder, but i have no boobs to hold, so this is a 'short sweater'. i wanted REALLY long sleeves, and a split neck . .

any way on to the photos:

the big picture:

the front:

the side:

The back:

suggestions to make it better would rock my world.

ok here's the goods honey and i got from batgirl:

first up a LOVELY lacey collar in yellow and green with litte buttons. there's a bee hive and little bees and flowers . .. i never knew how good honey looked in lace until this. . . so i think honey will be getting a lot more lacey stuff!!!

THEN we got AWESOME fridge magnets with little images of all kinds of cute dogs and dog stuff on them .. we needed these badly too!! :

AND a cool ass picture frame with all kinds of nicknames for honey on the back, and "honey is my homey" written on the front   . . . and JEWELS!!!!  this is totally going on my desk at work:

ALSO some VERY cool and shiny doggie notecards . . the pic didn't turn out THAT great as they are SO DARN SHINY!! hehehe :

i think i got everything .. but there was SO MUCH! and it all is too cool!  Honey and i thank you batgirl you did a rockin job and we love everything . . still honey thought she should personally thank you in the traditional batDOG manner : hehe:
