11  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / (Baby) Blanket / Foot Warmer on: March 29, 2010 10:26:11 PM
This blanket originally started out as a Granny Square Afghan Sampler, but after 10 squares, my mother's cat ripped up my instruction booklet! It was going to be a present for my boyfriend for Christmas, being a queen/king size throw for our bed, buuut... it turned into this Smiley Yes, it's a bit dark for a baby blanket, but we're going to use it in the far future when we have a baby. Right now, it's just a throw/foot warmer Smiley I still have to put a grey border all around, and might line the back... not sure yet!

Plus, a few of my fave squares -

I really need to learn how to stop my hand from shaking and take better, less blurry, pictures!

14  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / modgepodge of new things on: June 16, 2008 10:25:30 PM

Some aren't painted yet, none are glazed. And yes, the cucco (sp?) clock is inspired by ohyouprettything's one, i thought it was so adorable!
15  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Some of my newer things on: June 07, 2008 09:00:01 PM
Well, not really "new" but I finally found my camera! Yay! lol

toast and eggs - my grandmother likes this one, so i'm going to find a chain for it and give it to her.

this actually is new, not even baked yet. these guys started life as a key lime pie, which i hated and smashed. i liked the resulting swirls, so bam! pendant and earring set Wink

my little octopus, i call him panda. why? i dont know.

chocolate lemon cake! my first time with canes. if you look hard enough, you can see them - little white specs in the lemon slices. pendant and earrings.
16  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Key To My Heart - Warning: corneyness ^_^ on: May 15, 2008 03:15:25 PM
So, I was bored one day, and I made this for the boyfriend. Yes, I know, corny, but he loved it Smiley Gotta love having a boy who's as mushy as you are!

Sorry they're so blurry, my camera was having a pissfit.

Sculpty, with acrylic paint and a glaze finish.
17  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / How to sew playing cards? on: May 06, 2008 11:02:45 AM
I'm trying to make a little bag, clutch or even a wallet out of playing cards... well, to be exact, World of Warcraft cards from their trading card game. They're the same thickness as normal playing cards, without the shiny shiny lamination. Any idea how to sew them together so they won't rip, or should i just tape/hot glue the cards and attach it to the lining somehow?

Thanks in advance!
18  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / WIP : First poly doll! Doll Nudity (pic heavy... sort of) on: April 30, 2008 07:15:03 PM
Ok, I know this isn't a completed project but I'm so proud of it so far I just had to show you guys!

She's made from sculpty and a wire/aluminum foil/masking tape armature. Did the body today Smiley She's a surprise for someone - can't say who though Wink

Any comments or criticism are greatly appreciated! I'm sort of winging it as I go along, as this is the biggest thing I've made out of clay yet, and I've never ever made a doll. Using a mixture of pictures and tutorials from nanner's site, enchanted whimsies
19  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Pasha the Penguin on: February 13, 2008 01:32:06 PM
I made Pasha from the Knitty Winter 04 issue. He's so soft and cuddley! I didn't use two stands on his black bits, so as you can tell you can see right through to his filling, but at least I know better next time. Was the first time I knitted a stuffy, so I'm quite proud Smiley Excuse the mess that's my desk lol.

Pattern here.
20  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Bailey the Giant Panda! on: February 13, 2008 01:27:35 PM
My Giant panda, think he came out to 18 inches tall or so. I love him! Originally was made with the intention of giving him away... but I can't part with him lol. I'll probably end up making another one in different colours.

I modified the head, since if you follow the pattern it turns into a point (who wants a pointy headed panda?) and added the tail and heart on his arse Wink

Pattern here.
