1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Friendship Bracelets... on: August 21, 2010 09:22:12 PM
So, I've finally understood the pattern I'm using for my first friendship bracelet. I received one in the mail, and was making one to return to her. Hers is nice, and smooth and has no holes you can see through. Mine? Bumpy, the sides are wobbly, and there's small pinprick holes you can see through. I THINK I'm making the knots tightly, but can't think of anything else besides tension that would cause this problem. Any helpful tips would be appreciated!

3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Perfectly Pretty Pandas! on: July 27, 2010 06:13:36 PM
Made from this pattern : http://mollychicken.blogs.com/my_weblog/2005/11/anna_panda.html

All handsewn. He looks kind of spazzic, because the eye whites were too big, and the eye rounds weren't really oblong... but I think it gives him character! My first chain stitch too. All in all had a fun time with him, and hope his new momma likes him as much as I do Smiley One day, I might be able to take decent photos! At least they're not blurry like my pics used to be!

This pic shows the green better - I'm trying to only use my stash, and didn't have any lighter green, so this would have to do!

It's for a swap on Swap-bot.com

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet pic dump! Rooster, Owl, and tawashis! on: July 16, 2010 10:01:19 PM
Rooster -

Pattern : http://www.sugarncream.com/pattern.php?PID=4916&cps=21191 Instead of a G hook, I used an E, so he's tinier than what the pattern says. Also, just made up a triangle for his gobbler-neck-thingy and sewed it in half under his beak.

Owl -

Pattern : http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/Crochet/Projects/BabyChild/WT1741+Cutest+Little+Owl.htm I put pennies in his bottom so he stands up Smiley

Tawashi -

Pattern : http://crochetpatternsonly.blogspot.com/2009/06/spiral-scrubbie.html Made with Peaches and Cream cotton.

Apple Tawashi -

Pattern : http://salihan.com/patterns/free/apple-dishcloth/ The second one shows the red better.

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help! Crochet in the round on: June 07, 2010 03:26:31 PM
Hey guys. Now, I KNOW how to crochet in the round, I've done it before... but my joins look horrible, and my "seam" always goes crooked. Is that normal?

Also, when you join, then chain (however many) for the first sitich, do i crochet in the joined stitch, or the next stitch for the next sc/dc/etc? I'm not sure... and I'm thinking thats why my joins are not straight. Hopefully that made sense as a question. Thanks in advance!
