1  Lola and Franz *edited - added more one pic* in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by puchitomato on: July 08, 2008 11:06:00 PM

So it's Stampede time here, then next week is Westerner Days in my hubby's hometown. I made this 'cow'girl and 'cow'boy.

Their names are Lola and Franz.  They are 10 years old.
Franz loves fondu.  Lola is lactose intolerant.

Lola now has her own cow bell and more spots ^^

I was going to add the extra bits to Lola last night but was too darn tired.

2  Keroro and Kururu in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by puchitomato on: May 25, 2008 01:20:57 PM

Lately I've been watching the anime Keroro Gunsou.  This is my attempt to make Keroro (the green alien frog) and Kururu.  Giroro and Tamama and Dororo soon to follow (hopefully...)

3  BethD Punk Bunny and Ruby Gloom in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by puchitomato on: September 26, 2007 11:06:38 AM
A few weeks ago I bought Elisabeth Doherty's "Amigurumi! Super Happy Crochet Cute."  It's a great book to have in your craft book collection.

My son kept asking me to make the punk bunny for him.  I thought I would take my time making him, but once I started I couldn't stop.  So I finished him a lot sooner than expected.  I need to fix his one eye though, but overall he turned out pretty spiffy!

After I made him, I wanted to try and make another humanoid doll.  This time I wanted to make the cartoon character, Ruby Gloom.  I would have liked to use eyelash yarn for her hair but all I had was regular yarn.  I was going to keep her but my mother decided to claim her so I guess I'll just make another Ruby Gloom and try it with the eyelash yarn or something for her hair.  Excuse all the little fuzzies still on her outfit....

4  Roly Poly Cats in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by puchitomato on: September 02, 2007 11:44:14 AM

"Help me....!"

A couple of crazy little roly poly cats.  When they are not taking naps, they like to get into mischief.  They shout "Whhheeeeeeeee!!!!" as they bounce and roll around everywhere.  They enjoy nibbling on tuna casserole and sipping peach flavoured water.

5  Anpanman in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by puchitomato on: June 30, 2007 06:11:49 PM

This was a request from my mom for a friend's little boy.  He's a big Anpanman fan, a popular Japanese cartoon character.  I hope he likes it.  Cheesy

6  Prince of Cosmos in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by puchitomato on: May 22, 2007 08:41:11 AM

My son (who is a fan of the video game Katamari Damacy like his mom) requested a Katamari doll so I made him this.  I guess he turned out ok...I really had no idea what I was doing as I was making the Prince.

Now he's asking for Cousin Ichigo.......

BTW, I definitely recommend the game soundtracks!

7  Ninja Monkey in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by puchitomato on: March 24, 2007 11:25:58 AM

Oh man, I had forgotten about this little guy. I made him a long time ago and he's been sitting on top of the filing cabinet all this time. Lonely and neglected...sniff...

Ninaja Monkey has decided he wants to retire from being a super deadly ninja and become a lounge singer instead.

8  Crochet Hook Case in Crochet: Completed Projects by puchitomato on: October 30, 2006 07:13:42 PM

At last! I finally made this crochet hook case.  I've been wanting to make it for a long time.  Now I don't need to use that ugly pencil case anymore.

I used cotton yarn to make this - my first non acrylic yarn project.  It measures about 24cm X 15.5cm.

It was also my first sewing project.  It wasn't all that fun actually because I had to use my mother's ancient sewing machine that kept stalling while I was sewing on the fabric, arghh!!! I need to get myself a sewing machine.

The pattern for this case is from "Hajimete no tezukuri - Kagibari de amimono"

10  The Story of Takoyan in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by puchitomato on: September 30, 2006 06:08:44 PM

Takoyan was a happy go lucky octopus who loved to swim in the deep ocean.

One day Takoyan was caught by a fisherman...

...and Takoyan was sold in Osaka where he was made into takoyaki, smothered in yummy otafuku sauce and sprinkled with red ginger and aonori.
