2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / This purse has sworn me off plastic for life. on: May 03, 2008 09:45:49 PM
So it was my friend's birthday party yesterday, and I decided to make her a purse with a plastic outer. I have made plenty of purses before, but I have never sewn with plastic. After about 64758948 sewing machine re-starts I finally finished it  Grin

Hope you like!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / [= 2 hour multicoloured beanie =] on: January 14, 2008 12:21:51 AM
So I was bored today and decided to knit a beanie!
I had all different colours of this thick acrylic yarn (but only one ball of each colour:(). Anyway I made up a pattern and 2hours later, here it is. It's a bit small though...

as you can see I ran out of yarn so I had to use a different colour tone.. oh well..

action shot Cheesy

comments/criticism welcome
4  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Completed Projects / cute food colouring dyed yarns... a learning experience! on: June 21, 2007 09:35:28 PM
Well yesterdy I decided to dye some yarn. I used some aeroplane jelly crystals. I read somewhere that you could use jelly crystals, but I didn't read the whole thing. Being me, I didn't read the bit about seperating the sugar from the yarn. So know I have 3 skeins, about 75g all together, of yarn that is utterly hideous, looks like vomit and smells very sweet. Won't be using those yarns.
I have to admit It was very fun so I decided 2 dye 3 50g skeins today, they aren't even dry. I used food colouring, and it was really fun, quick and simple. I used the method in SnB Nation.
PIC TIME! Shocked
^1.This picture aint good, in the bathroom drying. It's a pink and lime mix, made with queen food colouring..
^2.my favourite, a lime and aqua blend that will look great as handwarmers.

^3.I like it, but i wish it hade more blue and green in it. It might look better in a ball tho.
^4 all of my cuties

^5. yeahh.

((Sorry the pictures are terrible, taken with my fone..))

now with pics!( sorry about the quality- they were taken with my phone)
i'm really pleased with it, mainly because i winged it and didn't really know what i was going to make! The back is pink polka dots, and the back lining is blue, while the front lining is pink dots, and the front outer is blue. So  basically its pink, blue, pink, blue

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / With or without union jack....?? on: October 09, 2006 04:25:29 PM
I really want to knit SnBN London Calling. I have found the yarn but I don't know if i should put the Union jack on it. Will it offend ppl (bcos Im aussie) if im wearing the Union jack?  Huh
Ginger spice wore a Union jack, but she was English Wink And im not..
Hmm.. maybe I could put another  motif on it..
Also would English ppl be offended if I did it in different colours. (eg. Pink is red, turquoise is blue etc) Grin
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Easy Peasy Green + Blue Dress on: July 12, 2006 04:13:43 PM
Hey all Wink
This is my easy peasy green dress. I made it in a sewing class a while ago. The skirt is just a square with a hole in the middle. It looks nice under jeans or with a shrug on top
Its a green extra long bonds chesty.
