11  Re: McCall's 4826 in Clothing Sewalongs by alicelovester on: July 16, 2006 12:05:41 PM
I made this for my junior prom in March, and also didn't know there was a sewalong Roll Eyes

The waist ended up kind of tight, but nothing too terrible. Please excuse my horrid posture.

12  tropical clutch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by alicelovester on: July 02, 2006 02:47:01 PM
I made this using laurasaurus's tutorial (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=24610.0) last night. I'm in love with it.

And most importantly, the lining!

13  mmm polka dot bikini in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by alicelovester on: June 17, 2006 08:38:55 PM
I love bathing suit weather, don't you? I wanted to make a bikini out of a tie-dyed shirt, but I decided to make a practice one first and I picked up this material and a pattern at Hancock's Memorial Day sale. I can't remember the pattern number, but I can find out if anyone is interested.

I don't really like the top on me. It squishes my boobies out, but I think it could be fixed with some of those little padded liners that come in most bikini tops.

14  Gen-T skirt and shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by alicelovester on: May 27, 2006 11:33:15 AM
My friends had a graduation party the other night where you had to wear all one color. I made this about 3 hours before the party and didn't even end up going, but I thought I would share my Peter Pan-ness with you all. This is Punk'd and Flare Thee Well made out of 4 shirts from Michael's (that were 5 for $10 when I went!)

Oh, and the skirt looks better when it isn't pulled up 4 inches too high on one side. Heh.

16  T-Shirt Pants in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by alicelovester on: May 27, 2006 11:07:32 AM
Using bakedinapie's tutorial from t_shirt_surgery (http://community.livejournal.com/t_shirt_surgery/3597625.html), I made these babies:

They flare much more than this picture shows.

My brother got mad at me for cutting up a shirt from his beloved Yale, but I just tell him that it was the wrong color blue (UK blue... ick. If you're from Kentucky, you'll understand).

17  Fimo unicorns! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by alicelovester on: May 27, 2006 11:00:17 AM
Because really, who doesn't need some of these? We had to make board games in my English class so I made these, and everyone kept asking for me to let them have them. I, of course, was a good group member and let the other 3 girls take home the ones they wanted first.

Oh, and the black one was for my boyfriend because he wants one of everything I make.

(sorry, I couldn't get a non-blurry picture!)

For size comparison:

My beautiful herd:

I hate that they don't all match, but I was stupid and picked up transparent Fimo instead of white after I had made three. Yeah, I'm cool.

Those are so gorgeous! The first one really reminds me of Gaudi's Parc Guell. ::sigh:: I'll stop reminiscing about Barcelona now, but I love them.

HEre's the famous lizard from the entrance, in case I'm making no sense.

19  Re: Color Bar Blanket from Happy Hooker in Crochetalongs by alicelovester on: April 15, 2006 11:22:30 AM
I'm done with it!

I'm kind of relieved to be able to work on a baby blanket for my French teacher now. Going around in those circles was flipping me out.

20  Junior Prom dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by alicelovester on: April 15, 2006 11:18:44 AM
I made this dress for my junior prom 3 weeks ago. It looks dumpy because I'm slouching over (yeah, I know-- I need to work on my posture. My mom tells me that every day Roll Eyes). Anyway. Our theme was "Unforgettable" (thanks to my boyfriend for coming up with it) and it was all black and white and silver and Old Hollywood-ish. I thought a gold dress would really stand out there, and it was a big hit when people found out that I had made it. I used McCall's 4826MC and covered up my face because I looked like a drag queen.
