11  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Bustier or Bust on: July 27, 2006 10:40:26 AM
For a high school sewing project, I choose (for some ungodly reason) to make a boned bustier.  For some other super-ungodly reason, I choose the stretchiest green velvety material around.
As the class had only two cutting tables, both in use, I chose to pin my project on the hallway floor, a particularly difficult task as we were required to cut nearly exactly on the grain.
After spending nearly the entire class out there, I finially tried to pick up the stupid thing, only to discover that I'd pinned the entire thing to the carpet.

Alas, the thing was never finished.  My teacher put the boning in for me, and only when she was finished did we realize that she put it all in backwards.
If you know anyone with inverted boobs, give me a holler.
