Lets make a snarky ornament to hang upon our tree to acknowledge our hard work and need for another bottle of chardonnay!

This swap requires ONE ornament be sent to your partner. This will be a quick and dirty swap, just like a good martini. The only real rule is that your ornament is made with love, care and lots of snark.

While not required (and applicable only where age appropriate), you are totally encouraged to enjoy a good cocktail while crafting. You know, for science. Cheesy

4  It's a Snarky, Snarky Christmas Ornament Swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by SonjaBoo on: October 27, 2017 04:29:52 AM

I know we're getting to the "it's hard to find time to craft because I'm cleaning, cooking and shopping for the holidays" season, but that just sort of brings out the snarky housewife in me. And that makes me feel like we all need a snarky ornament to hang upon our tree to acknowledge our hard work and need for another bottle of chardonnay!

I'm proposing a quick, easy ornament swap -- one ornament, one partner, lots of snark. We'd be mailing no later than the first week of December. If there's interest, I'll try to get sign ups up and running by next week!

6  Re: Jar of Whimsies Halloween 2017 - Gallery of Goodies... in The Swap Gallery by SonjaBoo on: October 19, 2017 05:45:45 PM
Oh, I love this gallery -- so many whimsies to look at!

I received from the extremely generous Witchhippie, and am having a blast sorting through all the loot.

First, a look at the awesome "book" that was the container for only a fraction of what she sent along. How cool is this? Even Mr. 'Boo liked it, which is high praise indeed. Cheesy

Here's a look at the "extras" that were also in the box-- exciting stuff!

And of course, the whimsies themselves:

I adore this little book -- the pages are tea dyed (?) and it is just the yummiest little thing ever.

Some awesome tags:

In this photo, you can see the awesome bracelets and necklace that Witchhippie made -- I love them!

Thank you for such an awesome swap, Witchhippie! This was a fun one. Cheesy

This gallery is amazing! Life has been insane here, and I am so late with everything for this swap. Thank you to rockingbearranch and kittykill for your patience!

I received a gorgeous package from rockingbearranch this week and adore every bit of it! She sent a pumpkin pompom that is just too cute, a laser-engraved haunted mansion art piece, and an adorable jack o lantern guy illustrated on a piece of a reclaimed shipping pallet.

Some close ups:

Thank you so much!! Your package will finally be en route tomorrow!

Next, a gorgeous bee artwork that will hang in my craft room:

Then we have these beautiful chickadee cards and stamp -- I adore these!

Then we have an intricate beaded jewelry set that I am totally obsessed with:

And finally, a beautiful butterfly bookmark and card with a note inside -- so lovely!

Here's a look at everything all together. Thank you again so much, Onyxnox!

9  Hedwig Paper Clay Owl in Completed Projects by SonjaBoo on: August 08, 2017 02:54:07 AM

I made this little guy for my partner in the bird, bee and butterfly swap. He is inspired by something from her Pinterest board, but of course I can't find the link now. Anyway, he is made from paper clay and painted with acrylic paints, and is somewhere between 3-4" tall.

Thanks for looking!

I sent to Mama Butterfly a while back, but she hasn't had a chance to post photos. So here's a quick look at what I sent!

First up, a steampunk inspired Bee canvas:

Next, a paper clay owl from Harry Potter -- this was inspired by something on one of her Pinterest boards:

And finally, a butterfly necklace inspired by one from Anthropologie:

I had a lot of fun crafting for this swap!
