3  Re: A beanie with a bill. Inspired by newsboy, rasta, cabbie caps. Now w/tut &pics in Crochet: Completed Projects by groschveux on: October 09, 2007 07:46:10 AM

Thank you for sharing the brim tutorial with us! I made a hat for my daughter Sara yesterday, and she wanted a brim added on to it. So with a little bit of searching, i found your tut on craftster. Gotta love Craftster!!! :]  The brim didn't turn out that well, one of the corner is rolling upwards. I'm fairly new to crochet so I think I just need to practice more.

Anyways, here it is..

4  Re: Pretty Puff Slouchy Hat UPDATE: Pattern added in Crochet: Completed Projects by groschveux on: October 04, 2007 12:11:02 PM

I found your link through SewPixie's flickr pages and I had to try it too. I used some mystery yarn and a size K hook but made the hat smaller to fit my daughter's head. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern with us.

5  Re: Blythes and Pullips Swap Round 5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by groschveux on: August 21, 2007 06:30:09 PM
My friends from back home are now gone, so I finally found some time to take pictures of the amazing goodies I received a little while ago from the talented knit_north.

First up, is the ultra warm headband/earwarmer for our cold winters here in Canada  Wink

Next, is this awesome sweater. A blythe sized Elizabeth Zimmerman pattern. Knit_north is truly an amazing knitter. My VS Geraldine is also wearing a pair of Jeans and a purse giving by knit_north too. Love this outfit on her!!

And here's the last piece, a beautiful knitted dress made by my generous partner (her own pattern). The vintage sequins are a nice touch and doesn't it look fabulous paired up with these yellow tights.

I'm very happy with everything and so are the girls. Thank you Knit_north for being such a great partner. Hugs!

Here are the great things my angel Star217 sent me:

Geraldine in the Crocheted dress

Felted hat and braided felt scarf (forgot to brush her hair for this pic, oups!)

Drop stitch shawl with handspun yarn

It's all wonderful, Thank you so much Star217  Kiss
The girls are very pleased with their new blythelicious goodies.
I'll try to convince them to share with the Pullips. hehe

7  Zo's Summery Dress in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by groschveux on: July 12, 2007 01:20:48 PM
I've had this beautiful turtle fabric stashed in my sewing room for quite some time. I finally decided to used it to make my youngest daughter a dress. Didn't use a pattern for this one because I just didn't feel like taking the time to cut out the pattern and read instructions and blah blah blah you know the drill.

There is pleated detail all around the top of the skirt part. I used bias tape for a punch of color and a red metal snap on the back. This was my first dress (non-doll dress that is) and I had fun making it. Will definitely be making more. :]
