Oh what a lovely bunch this week.

Angry Hippie....I really really really really like Dirty Hippie.

I, unfortunately, have nothing to offer up this week. Why? Because I was lucky enough to score a trash bag full of raw dirty wool this week. For free! Yay! So my tiny house has been temporarily turned into a tiny wool processing plant. Smiley

I hope to have some stuff for you next week as I also just recently purchased some lovely dyed rovings.

You guys help me get and stay excited about fiber....I love it!! Happy spinning all!

Belladune, I love your super girly yarn!

Laughing Lark, you are a yarn making machine! I really love the Foggy Purple and Signs of Spring!

Angry Hippie, if you ever posted a yarn I didn't like...I'd be shocked! As usual, beautiful pictures of your BEAUTIFUL yarn!!

Jexx, I like your Mish Mash. You've inspired me to experiment with some odds and ends that have been neglected for too long.

Nesse, your work is lovely and I really really like Woah-oh and Tree Nymph

I know it's late, but I wasn't able to post yesterday. This stuff was done prior to Friday, I promise!! Oh, and I've been experimenting with taking better pictures.

These first 2 are done with fibers I got from KnittyAndColor. This first one I posted as singles last week and now it is plied into this...

Pocket Rock

Here's the other KnittyAndColor fiber, I think this is BFL...

And here's from some Merino that was hand painted by me...

Mermaid Hair

They are all decent yardage, which I have written down somewhere, and all worsted weight.

I got pictures of my finished doggy sweater!

First, here is the fiber. I've posted this picture before, but not for this particular project. It's the pink one on the left...

This is the bulky yarn I spun it into...

And the final product...

The recipient and her mommy were pleased!

Untouchable- your yarns are absolutely beautiful. I especially love Jewel and PPE. I must try this Navajo ply thing I keep hearing about.

Jexx- I really love your 2 versions of the Merino fiber! And your core spun looks super squishtastic!

Hippie-you are my hero. You make me want to learn this core spinning.

Really, you guys are inspiring me to spin more. Although, I didn't get much done this week because I have been sick. Sad But today I felt a bit better and spun this up from some handpainted Falkland from KnittyandColor. It's not done yet because I want to ply it.

Beautiful scarflette Jexxican!

Bella--can't wait to see your legwarmers!

I have another item to add. Nothing fancy...just a ribbed hat.

First, here are the fiber bits. There is mohair, BFL, Wensleydale locks, and Angora...

...which were then carded into these batts...

...spun up into this yarn...

...and then made into this super soft and super warm hat...

I am almost done with another project...a tiny dog sweater!

I have an Ashford Kiwi wheel and I oil it all the time!

Puppy--I have tried spinning with hemp before...and also didn't like it. Didn't much like the finished product either but at least it was a learning experience!

AngryHippie--your yarns are so pretty pretty pretty. How long have you been spinning.

Jungrrl your yarns look super squishy soft! Very nice!

Antsy--I love the colors!

Here is yarn I spun from some superwash merino fiber I dyed myself! My friend and I had a dying day at another friend's house. The other friend happens to be the person who taught us to spin too! It ended up being about 225 yards of DK. I love love love it. Here's pics of the fiber and then the yarn.

It's so inspiring to see everyone's work here. Thanks for sharing!!!

It's my first time starting one, but I am so excited I can hardly contain myself. These are 2 of my first hand dying attempts that I spun up this week, both in superwash merino.

This first one is about 130 yards of worsted:

The next are both from the same batch, one of about 50 yards of bulky and the other about 45 yards of sport weight:

I meant to do the whole thing as the bulky 2 ply, but kind of miscalculated when I split it up. I kind of like seeing it as both a single and a two ply though.

Woo hoo!
