1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / flying ducks in an amo box on: October 22, 2007 11:47:22 AM

I hope this is the right place for this, wasnt sure where it should go.

I got some of those paint your own flying ducks and decided to do something different with them

I painted them black and white, then decided that  they would look good in a box you could put on the wall.  I have had an empty ammunitions box lying around for a while (I'm not into guns, but thought the box was pretty cool) so painted it bright red and put the ducks flying inside it, I decided to leave the firearms stickers on the box as i thought it was a good contrast to the ducks and could be a talking point.

Sorry the photo quality isn't great, took the pics with my phone.

Hope you like

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Xmas gift for doggies! based on the 'break glass in emergency' fire alar on: December 19, 2006 02:49:57 PM

I decided to make a different sort of christmas present for my friend's doggies! It is based on the 'break glass in emergency' fire alarms, but decided that break glass in doggie hunger was a much better idea

here is the front of the finished box

here is the back

it even has a hook on the back so you can attach it to the wall so it looks even more like an alarm system.

Hope you like

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Guinea Pigs new home on: October 06, 2006 12:36:16 PM

My Pig Meg was geting fed up of being in a house that had high plastic sides that she couldnt see out of, and i found that her cage didnt look good in my room, so...i built her a new one.

a closer view of how i attached the cubes together - she has not chewed on the wire clips so i have left them (they were only going to be temporary until i found something better)

This is a photo of her floor space, i have different 'toys' such as an igloo, tubes and wooden hidey holes that i change around so she has some variety.

she is so much happier and so am i as she's so 'talkative' when she can see everything and be part of what's going on.

hope u like

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Duckie bathroom on: October 06, 2006 12:23:14 PM

I really like ducks and am doing my bathroom in a duckie theme, with plenty of rubber ducks.  but i kinda need some ideas on how to improve it, and I'm tryin to find a nice way of displaying my ever growing collection of rubber ducks

I managed to get a baby duck curtain, and purples my fav colour

a closer image of the wall ducks

then my last wall with the photos that show above my sink and toilet

I know it isnt finished yet, so doesnt look too great.  I was going to paint a mural of a duck pond on the lower half of the walls that have the flying ducks, but not sure if would be too much.

thanks for looking

5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / paint brush holder on: July 20, 2006 02:31:54 PM

I was fed up of storing my brushes in boxes, so a few toilet rolls, pringles tubes and bits of newspaper later... a funky home for my brushes is born.

i have had it a few months now and at least now i dont misplace my brushes

6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / painted shoes on: June 18, 2006 12:25:16 PM
well its fathers day in the UK and i thouight I would give my dad something that would remind him of the past.  As he used to go around on a vespa when it was the mods and rockers i did this...

i had wanted to paint a scooter on the shoes but it came out wrong, so ended up just painting the target and black stripes

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Bright Kitchen Wall on: June 18, 2006 12:17:15 PM

This is my first post here, so hope i get everything right!

My kitchen was really boring - so I decided to brighten it up a bit

The kitchen is really big so painting it that size makes it feel slightly cozier than before as it felt kind of bland.

am planning to do the rest of my kitchen in a retro 1950s style

Hope you like it!
