1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: I need an experienced opinion on how long/how much money this will take me...? on: July 11, 2011 12:12:32 PM
Wow, I was definitely not expecting such a high quote! But, like you said, it's a home made quilt and those are pricey.
It'll be worth it if it comes out the way I picture. I think you're both right, I'll have to do an applique because I'm starting to get a reality check on my vision :p

Thanks for your help both of you! I'll certainly be referencing this post over the next few days!
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / I need an experienced opinion on how long/how much money this will take me...? on: July 07, 2011 12:00:14 PM
I want to make a medium/large quilt with the Guild Wars 2 logo on it:

The background would be probably plain black and I want to quilt the logo with various orange and red fabric squares.

I definitely know how to sew, but have never made a quilt. It would be great to have it ready for my boyfriend before he gets home from China at the end of the month, but I know that may not be realistic.

Any professional opinions on this matter?...and to me, anyone who knows more about quilting than me is a pro :p

3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Vintage Craft Projects / Re: Antique Sewing Machine on: December 15, 2010 02:33:24 PM
I love it!! It looks the one my grandmother gave to my mother that's in our sewing machine. It's a 1911 Singer but we don't have a belt for it. Shame, because it's awesome and I would love to use it.

Thats awesome!! The bathroom looks amazing, I don't know why but I really like the way the shower looks with the toilet...looks like something I would've built in the Sims. Also, that entertainment center is amazing and takes a way a hundred years from the house haha

Wow that's awesome! So authentic looking too. It looks so comfy, I would wear it and I haven't even read the books. Looks way better than any screen prints. Great job!
