Yes..the gas masks do scare me muchly.. BUT the style is oh so awesome. The one shot of the guy looks like Morpheus from the Matrix. Anyway.. very awesome! Took lots of work and it shows Smiley

Ive always wanted a skirt made out of ties, after checking out the Fruits Japanese Street-Style book.
I looove the dress, my dear. Love it, love it! <33
I also love the fashion statement he is making by wearing flipflops. haha... nice!
376  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: my funky song lyric jeans (img heavy) on: January 01, 2006 09:57:45 PM
You know.. I did almost the exact same thing. I had a pair of jeans that I loooooved! Well after years of wear and tear and a Nature Trail accident (ripping a huge, yet freakishly straght, tear into the left leg) I decided to cover the entire right leg in song lyrics. Except..my song lyrics were only Nirvana lyrics, as I am a die-hard fan. Its not as even as yours. Mine just look nappy and grungy and like I was stoned. Yours look beautiful though! I love the eveness of them. I have mostly the same size except "Can you feel my love buzz?" is written HUGE down my right leg.

378  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Sporks? on: December 30, 2005 09:04:18 PM
When I was a kid (in the 70s), our cutlery set included knives, spoons, forks etc, but also these things that were like a spork, but instead of having round heads, they were triangular (with the base of the triangle attached to the handle).  I was told they were rice forks and thay's what we used them for, but I've never seen anything like it before or since.  I know this isn't at all useful, I just felt like sharing.  Roll Eyes

We had those!  The tines weren't very long, they were more like serrated, triangular spoons.  I'm not sure now if that's what you were talking about, but we used those for eating grapefruit.

And I think a beaded spork curtain would be HILARIOUS.  Be sure you let us know what you decide to do.

(Ive been lurking but I had to put my two cents on this one)
I started a collection of plastic utencils last summer. I kept them from McDonalds, Taco Bell, Baskin Robbins, ect ect. I dont know where they are right now but if I find them, I am DEFINITELY going to make a beaded curtain! and I will post it if I do.. but hah.. great idea!
