21  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Last night at Wal-mart on: February 13, 2015 12:15:31 PM
I really miss the "old" Walmarts where their fabric and craft sections were huge and there was always someone there, ready to help or cut fabric. Ours didn't have fabric at all for awhile and when they rearranged, again, they added a small section.

I claim sweety28303 for mug rugs. This is my first claim.

Greetings! My name is Kristi and I am 27 years old and from Arkansas! I have been married to my husband for almost 7.5 years and we have a  1 year old son! We've been in our house a little less than a year but it still feels "new" and some rooms lack in decor. I love birds/birdcages, shabby chic, rustic, nerdy (both my husband and I are games), steampunk, or inspirational. We're really trying to get organized as well so anything that would help with that would be fantastic! I also would love anything personalized with our family name!

I don't dislike any colors, but pink is at the bottom of the list. I really like earthy colors and especially blues.

I made a board on my pinterest for this swap, just to help give ideas!
http://www.pinterest.com/memoirofsorts - the board is "Wish Swap" Smiley

- An apron - Hello Kitty, Star Wars, Minecraft, Winnie the Pooh, D&D/Pathfinder, Super Mario, Disney, or whatever. Frilly would be awesome but not necessary Smiley doesn't really have to have pockets either
- Kitchen hand towels that have a way to secure it over the stove handle
- Some type of hanging organizer - either for the door or closet - for my craft room
- Bibs with pockets to catch food (my son is small for his age and the store made ones are usually too "wide" for him)
- Diaper bag (my son doesn't require such a big bag anymore)
- A way to organize diapers/wipes (we were using the caddy on his pack and play but we took it down and he uses a crib now)
- Cloth diaper starter kit (Now that my son is a little older, we want to give cloth diapering a shot); or maybe just the cover and I can buy liners like at walmart?

Wood/other craft
- Hot glue gun holder (I have the standard small pink/blue hi/low temp hot glue guns)
- A door hanger / wreathe (can be themed by season, something with our last name on it, patriotic)
- "Made by" tags (I sell items out of a booth)

- Bracelets / necklaces - I wear a lot of "costume" jewelry to work
- Art for my craft room (or husband's game room) walls
- Any old books or kids movies you might have (DVD or Blu Ray; we aren't able to have TV/Internet at home, so we play movies/shows for my son)
- A household binder to help us get organized
- Anything Harvest Moon
- Anything World of Warcraft
- Anything D&D / Pathfinder
- Anything Hello Kitty
- Anything Steampunk

I don't care if these are used or partial or whatever!
- Paintbrushes (for acrylic paint / watercolor)
- Canvases (any size)
- Sewing thread / accessories (scissors, pins, pin cushion, rotary fabric cutter, etc)
- Paint
- Paint markers
- Cardstock / Scrapbook paper
- Stencils
- Polymer clay
- Clay acessories (molds, glue, gloss, etc)
- Anything that's "steampunk" (gears, clock parts, cogs, pendants, etc)
- Cricut supplies (markers, extra blades, spatula, etc)
- Paper punches
- Iron-on letters, decals, etc.
- Jewelry making supplies (eye pins, ring bases, pendants, beads, clasps, chains, etc)
- Crafting tools (scissors, needle nose pliers, tape, glues, etc)
