71  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Commuter Knitting Bag on: February 27, 2006 08:42:51 AM
Wow that's really cute!   I like the size and proportions - what are the measurements?  Where are the handles?   I'm planning on making a bag about that size later this spring for my gym stuff.    Hmmm....
72  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: What do you eat? (vegetarians) on: February 24, 2006 03:41:27 PM
My favorite cookbook is "1000 Vegetarian recipes" by Carol Gelles, whenever i want to make something new it always comes through for me.

That's one of my favourite cookbooks too!  It has a basic, easy to make recipe for almost anything I'm craving.   I also really like the two vegan books - How it all Vegan and The Garden of Vegan.  Great recipes, and the authors are Canadian!

Some of my favourite standbys include spicy schezwan tofu, spicy eggplant, fried rice, lentil shepard's pie, soups, tofu/rice burgers, quiches, and when I'm feeling lazy, peorogies and tofu dogs.   Wink

This is totally on my list of "would love to knit when I finish the three other projects I'm working on"!

Beautiful job - I'm glad to see it knit up well.
76  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Techno/upbeat Love songs. on: February 10, 2006 11:39:31 AM
I really like "Lucky Star" by Basement Jaxx.  "Finally" by Ce ce Peniston.   Something by Peaches, maybe?

78  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: What music do you knit to? on: December 29, 2005 12:14:07 PM
Since I don't have a tv right now, I'm usually listening to CBC radio when I knit.  It keeps me thinking if I have long stretches of repeats.  I went through a phase of listening to language tapes, and lately I've been obsessed with books on tape/CD.  Luckily the library has a pretty good selection.   Smiley    If I'm listening to music, anything I can sing along with is good.
79  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Ridiculously easy mary-jane slippers! (with pattern) on: December 29, 2005 10:31:19 AM
I love these slippers!  I'll be working on them as soon as I'm done my friend's baby blanket.  (soon......)
