71  Re: Handmade Christmas Bon Bons!!!!!!! TUT ON PAGE 3!!! in Winter Holidays by darkladymajesta on: December 15, 2007 07:53:26 PM
Ok, just so I get this right. (and I had to make a diagram)

The pink is what you cut away. The green line is where you eventually will tie ribbon. And the arrow is the direction the TP roll... rolls? I just don't understand where you tape it so the string is pulled when it is ripped open.

I just thought I should add some of my favorite shots of what I sent. Not that the other photos are bad. I just like to show off  Roll Eyes

Funny guy on the drink mix.

Nice shot of the tea cup.

And my favorite...

(Please excuse messy fingers, ink just wouldn't come off)

my flickr has much larger photos

I got my package last night! I was so exhausted after a long day at school (I have evening classes) that I just plopped into bed after opening it. So without further delay. Here are pictures of my amazing package from motleycruiser!
If you have photos please feel free to post them! Thank you for such a lovely package XD

All of the amazing loot together. So much candy and tea! XD I believe the silver packages are mint flavored tea stirrers?

Unfortunately the teapot broke in transit. Could you tell me where you got this set? I would love to get another since both pieces took a beating in transit and I love it so much.

The matching cup. Perfect size! It is not broken but has a scratch down the side and, while still usable, I am afraid of putting it in the microwave now.

Inside of cup. Isn't it cute?

The cute tea pot in its cute cozy. Did I put it on right?

Bottle holder which has a small strap so I can put it over my wrist or on the straps of my purse or backpack. The pictures do not do the yarn justice in any of the crocheted items.

Cool wrist warmers that I could not get a good photo of to save my life  Embarrassed She also added crossword puzzle buttons. They are really cool but hard to photo.

I loved it all.

74  Broken Spool Pin for Mystery Machine *Pictures inside* in Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions by darkladymajesta on: August 21, 2007 02:11:32 PM
I hope someone can help me. This sewing machine is a gift and in transit the spool pin broke! The only problem is I have never heard of the machine. Neither has any of my local sewing repair shops. They all said to bring it in. What little info I do have has brought up nothing in google, ebay or amazon. So I turn it over to you guys. Here is what I do have:

The Manual: Not much help here. Except for the model #

The front of the machine says Silken on it in the top right hand corner of the machine. The internet broght up no sewing machines under this name.

The Back of the machine has dragonfly written on it. Though I did find a site that supplies dragonfly machines there wasn't a 660 there.

Oh and if you are curious. Here is the broken part.

Anyone know if there are replacement parts around? Or anyone see somthing I am missing? This is my first sewing machine that I don't have to share and want to use it as soon as I can. Thanks!

75  Re: Secret Craftster swap (Round 3) Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by darkladymajesta on: August 13, 2007 05:16:47 PM
So anyway, I just wrote a long post and had everything ready... and it got eaten by the internet monster...  Lips sealed

I received my medium package over the weekend, but have been so busy with work that I am just now getting to the pictures! Oy

I got these amazing magnets on a brand new white board

I also got an amazing coffee cozy which will be used so much I might need to make a few more. Seriously, the paper cups at my school do not protect my hands from the heat of my tea  Grin

And finally this cute little guy. Can you recognize where he is from? *Sorry, had to throw a little mystery in there Wink*

Thank you so much secret craftster! Even my sister is jealous  Grin

Sorry it took me so long to get the photos. I have been trying to get them adjusted and uploaded all morning. I wanted bigger pictures but the software I had to use did not give very many options. (My adobe photoshop crashed  Angry )

Hopefully this works. Prepare to be jealous!

The slippers on my feet.

Semi-closeup of one foot.

Cute buttons that hold each slipper closed.

And my very curious cat who has to get into everything. But I think socks scare her, as when I moved my foot (I was holding still for the camera) she jumped a little XD

77  Re: Witch/Wicca/Pagan Swap Round 5 in The Swap Gallery by darkladymajesta on: April 25, 2007 01:08:47 PM
I have lots of pictures to show off, so  Tongue
Here is what I sent to ellie.henry (for some reason I didn't take a picture of everything together Roll Eyes):

This was a CD I picked up while shopping so I folded a case for it out of some paper I decorated. I left the outside without lettering so she could decorate/label as she wished.

Next is the flower wreath I made for her to put on her head and dance with. But it could easily be hung somewhere and still look pretty  Wink

And a closeup of the flowers I put on. They are fake flowers so they will last for a long time.

I made this pen so it will match the headpiece. It is blue ink, I think  Huh

I added the pen so she could write in this meditation journal. I left the front so she could personalize it as she wished. But I did do the coloring on it.

I also added another journal. She said she had wanted a plant of some sort. But we both knew plants dont survive long in a box in the mail. So I sent quite a few seed packets in this garden journal. For some reason I did not take a picture of the cover, so if ellie.henry would be so kind to put one up, I would be delighted. This also can be personalized by pasting the pictures of the plants that grow and their seed packets on the pages. Maybe even some notes for next year?

Lastly, the framed goddess picture. I hand drew/painted the goddess picture in the frame and picked the frame out at the store. I love how it turned out

Now, for the wonderful package I received! Thank you very much for the beautiful things.

This is everything together. There was an alter cloth, a hairpiece, and an incense holder! I put a pen in the incense holder so you can see where the incense goes, I don't have any with me since it is not allowed in my dorm room. But I am leaving here in 2 weeks anyway XD

This is the incense holder closed. Isn't it so cool?

The holder matches the alter cloth, which has this stitching on it.

This is the fabric used to back the alter cloth and to make the incense holder.

This is a closeup of the wonderfully made headpiece. I will hopefully get an action shot up later. Right now my roomie is in class, and I have a paper to write  Undecided

78  First Bead and Chain Necklace in Beads: Completed Projects by darkladymajesta on: March 27, 2007 05:12:42 PM
Lately I have been experimenting with my beads and had a lot of left over beads. So this necklace came about. My favorite one is the twinkly one on the left. Please let me know what you think.

You can see a better picture of what the chain actually looks like in the photo below.

This is a picture of the clasp. I couldn't get to good of a photo of it, this is my best one.

P.S. - Many thanks to my suite-mate for modeling.  Kiss

79  Girls Shorts to Cute Purse *photos!* in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by darkladymajesta on: June 30, 2006 02:18:51 PM
OK, so this is my first purse and sewing project that I have done since 7th grade (I graduated this June) so please no harsh comments. But so far I have seen only nhice comments here on craftster, so I am not afraid. That and I have gotten alot of comments about it  Grin So without further babble here is my purse.

The idea of this purse is the same as all of the jean purses out there. I made this one, had no fabric to line it with and made two other jean purses, this is the only purse that is completed at the moment. The others need little touches here and there, so I am just showing this adorable one off. The lining fabric was so fun that I had to buy it! It was on sale, my favorite type of fabric  Cool

I had a slight problem with the straps because I didn't have legs to use (they were shorts) so I just grabbed the hem off of each one and sewed them together then to the bag. I am not to happy with the sewing (its difficult for me to sew a straight line, but I am getting better!) or the zigzag stitching that attatched the lining to the outsides.

The button and zipper still work, I didnt even mess with anything on the pockets or the original waist.

Girly Shorts (.66, bought at thriftstore) + Clearanced Fabric ( 1.00$ per yd divided by 4 = .25) + Random ribbon and sewing thread (all of which I already owned its free!) = Cute girly bag + lots of compliments for only .91 cents! Now thats my kind of fashion.

Please tell me what you crafty brains think!

P.S. This is my first post with images & my first posted project
