1  Re: Menstrual Care Package Swap #2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by bestsundaydress on: June 01, 2006 07:26:25 AM
I got my incredible package in the post today!  I'm completely in awe of PurpleHeather..!  Right, photos!

All the lovely stuff together in a group.  Excluding the clothes cos I was wearing them.  Clockwise from top left:  Cloth pad bag, handmade card, pad liners, chocolate stash bag, eye patchy thing (forgot the name for this!), fleece uterus and little bag for my DivaCup!!!!

A close up of the little bag she made me to keep cloth pads.  It's got two pockets, zips AND waterproof lining! Isn't the fabric cool?!

Close up of the embroidery on the back of the chocolate stash bag!  It's so perfect!  And the front of the bag, it's super cute little button and one half eaten bar of the two she sent me!  Mmm..

1. Me looking silly while wearing the cozy soft eyepatchy thingy.  2. The TWUNT t-shirt!!! lol!  And also underneath anooother really cool t that says "I'm a Diva".  Line from a song and also fits because of my divacup!!

The most comfiest, coolest trousers in town!  Or the world...Haven't taken them off since I got them! hehe Bright neon polka dots, stretching t-shirt material and polkadot ribbon!!!!!!!!   Cheesy  Yaaay!

And last but not least, my very favourite thing!  A soft, cozy fleece womb to cuddle, complete with fallopian tubes!!!  It's so, so soft and squishy, and inside is a removable heat pack to go in the microwave!!!!  It really is the most amazing, creative thing!

Thankyou SO much Heather sweetie, this was the best swap package ever!!   Kiss

2  My photography! Portraits, weird, conceptual..Image heavy! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by bestsundaydress on: March 28, 2006 11:07:59 AM
Just thought I'd post a few of my photos, I'm studying photography at college and wanted to see what all you lovely people thought, as opposed to art teachers and such!   Grin

Ok, I'll stop now, it'll probably already take too long to load!

Oooh, that dress looks great on you Heather!  I'm so glad it fits!  And the zip, I thought it was quite messy.  Tongue

Those mittens are so cool!

Finally I found the lead and charged the battery of my camera!!
Here's a picture of the beautiful scarf made by SafetyFox!!  Modelled by Dora, the dummy.

4  My first stencil, Distillers t-shirt.. in Stenciling: Completed Projects by bestsundaydress on: February 19, 2006 08:24:34 AM
I just finished my first ever stenciled thing!

The cutting took ages, and I had to do it in two layers, but I'm quite pleased with the result. (Except it's not really neat, I was hoping for the lines to be sharper, but I guess that's why you should use sticky-back paper stuff instead of thin card.)

But, I think it needs something extra...Any ideas?   Smiley

I've started mine! Grin  I'm making size medium in Rowanspun 4ply.  So far so good, except the ribbing is a little slow to do.   Roll Eyes

Ok, I know this is an old thread, but I'm just starting this and so I thought I'd post my progress!   Grin

Tada!  The MC is 100% alpaca, and so is the lightish lime green.  The bright green is db cashmerino lumpy stuff.   Grin

I'm loving this pattern, so simple and easy to customise!!

7  Sari Silk Bag!! Unbiased from Knitty. (With lots of pics!) in Knitting: Completed Projects by bestsundaydress on: February 03, 2006 04:11:57 PM
I finished this awhile ago, I love it, it's my only bag.  After taking these photos though, I sewed in a lining and a massive chunky zip to hold it all together.

I found the pattern brilliant, so easy and quick to do! (http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/PATTunbiased.html)

In all it's beautifulness.

Moving in closer...

And closer!  Like my badge?   Grin

God, the pictures are tiny!  Sorry!   Roll Eyes
